Me and my dog liked it...
I really liked the idea of this toy and thought about buying it for a long time before I actually did.My destructive puppy loved it. At first I only let him play with it supervised and he had hours of fun with it.After him stealing it from the shelf and playing with it unsupervised for a day, the squirrels have now lost their stuffing and squeakers, but I love that you can buy replacement squirrels. Surprisingly it lasted longer than I thought it would, as I don't usually give toys 5 minutes before their stuffing is all pulled out, even the 'indestructible' ones. But although the squirrels were gone in less than a day the housing is still intact. All in all, a good toy. Too expensive for me with such a destructive dog, but if supervised it is a great game.

Kyjen Puzzle Hide-a-Squirrel
They say:‘The Hide-A-Squirrel offers owners an innovative approach to playtime. This engaging toy works as a reverse puzzle. You hide the squeaky squirrel pieces inside the plush tree trunk; dogs use their problem-solving skills to sniff them out. By encouraging them to seek and stalk the squeaky prey, the Hide-A-Squirrel provides pups with an outlet for their instinctual behaviours. The removable squirrels can be hidden again and again for endless enjoyment. And, for even more fun, you can hide treats and other toys inside tree trunk. No matter how you choose to play, the Hide-A-Squirrel is sure to keep doggie boredom at bay!’PJ says:Too easy! I recently turned my attention to interactive toys and puzzles for PJ to mentally stimulate him. He likes scavenging activities and I tried this as it seemed like a great idea and had good reviews. Unfortunately, some toys and dogs just don’t work. PJ grabs hold of the trunk and shakes – and I mean, *shakes* it furiously until all that is hid inside scatters about the floor. So, first impressions, he’d unearthed all 3 squirrels in less than a minute and was promptly bored with it, so he decided the felt leaves didn’t belong on the trunk, immediately chewing one off. This is one issue I will touch upon later. So, we stepped up a notch. We added different toys, packed it tighter with treats hidden inside and gave it to him again. A few shakes and all sorts of items are flying about the room. He likes the squirrels that were provided with it, but they are unfortunately the only part of this toy left in the toy box. The trunk is in that big toy box in the sky. With minimal chewing the lining was ripped apart and the outside tattered. Another negative was how much this toy sheds! White fluff everywhere, even after a few cycles in the washing machine.Overall, the toy just wasn’t for us.Positive:- Surviving squirrels- ‘No box’ option is greatNegative:- Too simple- Poor stitching- Sheds white fur everywhere

Great boredom buster on wet days!
My furkids love this toy.I don't leave them with it unsupervised and bring it out as a special boredom buster treat as not sure how long it would stand up to 3 big dogs competing for its possession - would be less interesting if it was always around too- but I highly recommend it for canine enhancement

Hide those Squirrels!
I bought this for my dog. The dog loves to stick her nose in the holes and shakes it to get the squirrels out.You get three squirrels and a tree trunk which is about 18cm high. The squirrels are (nose to tail end) 16cm.The squirrels fit inside nicely and each has a fluffy tail and squeaker inside. I think if your dog is a chewer then this might not last for you but a dog that plays gently with the toys this is great. I love that this toy is so different from most and more interactive to amuse and entertain a bored dog. We play with this in supervised play so to extend the life of it. Already the green sewn on leaves look slightly unstitched but a quick sew up will put these cosmetic features back in place.I bought the large unboxed version as I did not need a box- its the same at a lower cost.Happy dog - Happy owner!

Speedy delivery
Lovely product, but wish there was a fastening, when you put the squirrels in the top part, as dogs can just take them back out big bit, n not work to.get the squirrels out the little holes

Product as described
This is ideal for my elderly dog. He is a rescue with a few teeth missing and some teeth are chipped off. It is soft in his mouth but he finds it a bit difficult to make the squirrels squeak, you have to press them quite hard for this. He prefers to shake the squirrels out of the tree and only tends to remove one. He has many complex puzzle toys he enjoys and manages easily, this is something different for him.

Our dog's favourite toy -- if only it was a bit tougher
This isn't the most durable toy for a terrier; the "tree" has been thoroughly torn apart after a couple of weeks and the squirrels are missing several extremities each. But our dog loved it so much that it's very hard to criticise -- this was by far his favourite toy, and the low price represents good value for money, even if the toy is unlikely to last much longer.

He doesn't like me hiding the squirrells and removes them very easily ...
Dog immediately chewed green leaves off tree trunk. I worry that the nylon handle will hurt his mouth as he loves swinging it round. He doesn't like me hiding the squirrells and removes them very easily as he has a small face and just puts his nose in and lifts them out, not much of a brain toy. He likes playing with the tree trunk though.
