Nice bit of kit
Looks good, makes the appropriate grunt noise for the engine. Can’t complain at all.

Just wow
I brought this for my hond crz. Fitting was easy the only problem was my own screws that was rusty and my pipes being tight because of their age but.... God my car feels much more responsive and I'm not using as much fuel!

In contact with K&N because I am missing the rubber ...
In contact with K&N because I am missing the rubber bung which holds the filter in place. I really cannot hear the induction either at high revs. I am sure its due to a missing part. Will update review once I receive part from K&N. I have circled in blue the part I am missing.

Great sound and throttle response for a great price!
Installed on 2011 Honda CR-Z 6-spdPros:- Well-engineered product from a reputable company (K&N)- Good instructions compared to other products- Mostly metal intake components vs. plastic from other products I've tried- Growly, throaty intake sound at Wide-Open Throttle that is just the right tone, compliments the car well without being too aggressive- Improved throttle response and lets the engine get through the low-mid to mid-high RPMs better than the stock intake- Lower price compared to other optionsCons:- Install is more complicated/involved compared to other options - you have to deal with coolant lines and crankcase vent lines which can get messy and confusing if you're not prepared (see more below, I will give a heads-up on what you expect for the install)- Some supplied parts (small hose clamps) did not fit the hose supplied... I had to pick up some larger ones from the hardware soreOverall Impressions:K&N really delivers with this kit - I drive a 2011 CR-Z and I'm just getting to replacing the stock airbox, but luckily there are still good options available. The previous intake I tried was the Takeda Momentum Pro 5R CR-Z intake, and if you check the product page for that on Amazon, you can see what I wrote about the product. That is the comparison I have for this install. The install for this intake is definitely more involved than the Takeda, but overall I'm more pleased with this intake for various reasons. My beef with the Takeda intake was the sound... it was just too loud and buzzy, which makes sense based on the design/shape of the Takeda which appears to basically be a big horn shape. What I like about this K&N intake is the simple design with a short-ram style intake pipe which limits turns and keeps the intake path open. The cone K&N filter is a staple and is built to last and be washable. The one drawback to this kit is the installation which honestly is somewhat involved. Here are some tips if you choose this intake:- The rubber lining of the intake box is a pain to put on... but prepared to push and pull to get this on the metal intake box- Be ready to deal with engine coolant during this install... this is one advantage the Takeda intake has over this K&N is that there is no coolant line bypassing for the Takeda kit. The coolant port nearest the thermostat (the lower coolant port) will gush coolant when you disconnect the stock hose, so be ready with a cup and the supplied plug to control this. Honestly, it will be difficult to avoid some small amount of coolant loss, so make sure you monitor the coolant levels after the install and you're ready for that.- The supplied small hose clamps did not actually end up fitting the 1/2" hose supplied for the crankcase ventilation ports, so I had to pick up some hose clamps from the hardware store. This is not a make/break problem, but just be aware. The stock hose spring clamps will not fit the supplied 1/2" hose. The instructions are pretty good for this install, but just be sure to double check the supplied illustrations and make sure you know what hoses are going where before you start... just to reiterate, you will be removing the stock crankcase ventilation/coolant bypass assembly during this install, and the provide hoses will connect per the directions to take care of the crankcase ventilation and coolant bypass. Be sure not to over-tighten the hose clamp on the conical K&N filter to the intake piping, it's easy to over-tighten this and leave the air filter not mated to the aluminum intake piping.Despite the increased install difficulty, I'm VERY pleased with this intake. It has a good sound throughout the rev. range and seems to improve throttle response over stock, adds pleasure to the driving experience. The intake is pretty much the same volume as the stock airbox at cruising throttle positions so the cabin noise level remains similar to stock. Having tried the Takeda CR-Z intake, I much prefer this one after installing and driving. Cheers.

Unexpected results
Took me around 30 mins to install. No warning lights. Great sound with SPEED exhaust kit. Actual performance increase. Took on a GTI in my CRZ GT-T and beat it on a short road. Helps that low end torque and small amount of HP. Pair this kit with GE8 intake manifold and the car will feel balanced and sound amazing 👏. Parts are high quality too. Use some of the OEM pipe clamps though.Coolant leak was minimal but the provided rubber plugs to block leaks. Plugs need to be pre-stretched to put on easier.Would recommend 👌

Sounds great and looks great!
Makes my crz accelerate a bit faster, adds a bit of pep, sounds great and improves the look. Also I've gained about 3 mpg.

Do not buy
I’ve had this cold air intake for about a month now. It is a waste of time and money. I have had constant engine issues due to this air intake. Even after getting my car tuned, a MAF tuned for cold air intakes, still causes issues. Don’t waste you time ordering this product. I love K & N products just sadly this one isn’t worth it
