If speed & battery life aren’t important then it may work for you
Having used other cheap Chinese HomeKit brands and having had good results I was optimistic that it would work well… but it was not worth it in any way. Starting with setup it worked well and was added easily, however the battery was at 70%. I was replacing another motion detector, because I wanted to use the lux sensor as a variable. So that proved to be a problem. So I started to try to figure out how many lux of light was in my room in different states. The value would not change quick enough to matter. 1 lux with light coming in thru window, then set lights to 100%, still 1 lux. I was never able to see a time when it changed. What it read when I opened the app is where it stayed no matter what I did. My old motion sensor had a quarter to half a second delay from time entering the room to lights coming on. This one 5 to 15 seconds. Sometimes it would come on as I was leaving the room! So I thought maybe there is an update to the firmware that will help. But after multiple attempts it finally downloaded and installed correctly. However there was no change. After trying for 3 weeks to get it to working properly, and not be triggering incorrectly, I gave up and returned it… having 2% battery left on top of everything.

Works with Thread!!
I don't often (or ever, really) write reviews, but since I went out on a limb on this one, I thought I'd go ahead and provide some feedback in case it's helpful for others. A the time of writing, there are only a handful of reviews (with mixed results). My experience has been virtually perfect, at least for what I need, though your results may vary. :-) I purchased this to use on Thread in a Homekit environment. Setup went exactly as you'd expect for Thread devices - a few taps in the Home app to add the device, scan of the attached QR code, select the appropriate room, and give it a name. Everything worked as expected on the first attempt. I installed mine in the garage approx 50ft (and several walls) from the nearest Thread border router (Homepod mini), with an automation to turn on a nearby light on movement. The time from motion to light is roughly 1 second, which is plenty for my use case; it detects motion 20+ft away.I've have the sensor "in service" for approx 2 weeks now, so no word yet on long-term reliability. The battery level is now 96%, so I'm guessing it will need a new battery in approx 6-8 months, possibly longer. I'm sure repositioning a border router closer to it would improve the battery life, but twice-a-year replacement is more than sufficient for me.

Terrible battery life makes this something to be avoided
Long time HomeKit user. Avoid this. Battery life is atrocious.

Works great, until it doesn't
I bought this right about 30 days ago. Integrated it into Home Assistant easily enough. About 3 weeks in, the device was inaccessible. I've reset the device several times. The fact that it has 2 batteries tells me its a power hungry device. I haven't tried swapping the batteries yet, because honestly, if it goes through 2 batteries in a month, I don't want it.

Honest Review
It's decent. It's not the best sensor I've used, but it works. I think the light sensor is where I feel like it could be better. The motion sensor is decent enough. The batteries (it has 2) died pretty quickly. I bought this in March and the batteries were dead by June. I will probably not get new ones and just stick this in a drawer.

Decent Homekit Motion/Lux Sensor, pain to pair to Home Assistant
I know the typical use case for this device won't be Home Assistant, but I use the homekit integration to pair any compatible devices to haos running on an intel nuc. The standard procedure for most devices (some like thermostat that you can join your wifi network on the device will skip this) is pair device in homekit, device also discovered in home assistant, unpair in homekit, then pair in home assistant with home kit code. This device would not stay available using the above method. I saw there was a firmware update online, so I reset the device, used the qingping app (which for a cloud app is great, they don't require registration which is rare). And after 4-5 attempts was able to update firmware. It actually pairs homekit instead of through its own app when adding the device, but this was not making the device available to HA.Finally, with updated firmware, and resetting the device, the normal homekit method worked after 3 attempts, After a day or usage device seems response to motion, lux is hit or miss. Sometimes it won't update unless there is a large change in light settings, like dark room to lights on. Then it will be responsive for awhile. I think the 2 sensors don't update in tandem because of how it was set up to save battery. But less useful for automations this way.The device is also thread capable. As I do not have a thread network setup I didn't have a way to test. Qinping app lists it as thread available.4 stars for difficulty in pairing and having to use a 3rd party app to update firmware. However, your experience is likely an easier route than mine.

Good quality. Easy setup. Long battery life.
The Qingping Motion & Light Sensor was easy to add to homekit. Once added I updated the firmware using the Qingping app, no issues. My intended usage is to mount on our front door frame and when motion is detected it will trigger the entrance lights. The sensor is not rated for outdoor use but my entry is in a covered cove and is not exposed to weather. I’ve really had no issues with the sensor so far (about 3 weeks of use). I have the automation set to run from 9:00 pm to 5:00am only. The only issue I have had is that the motion sensor sometimes picks up large vehicles (trucks) that drive down the street but this has only happened during the daytime and when the automation is not active. Battery life is excellent even with the daytime trucks triggering the sensor and it is still at 100%. I have no need for the light sensor at this point so I have not tested it. Overall this is an excellent quality sensor, I would not hesitate to buy more of this brand.
