Excellent Reference Book
This is one of the best books on statistics I’ve ever read. Any engineering students or professionals wanting to learn or refresh their knowledge should buy this book. It hits a perfect balance between theory and practical application. There’s some mathematical notation and formulas, but the author assumes no prior knowledge and gently explains the theory and notation using accessible language.

All bases covered - Intuition, Python and R.
I have the kindle unlimited version but will purchase the hardcopy as this book is full of insights that are hard earned elsewhere. The author does a great job in linking different statistical concepts together so you can follow a clear thread and build a lasting mental model of statistics. I'm surprised how well the author navigates Math, R and Python snippets and look forward to reviewing the authors full code book online that accompanies this piece. Note - I have yet to finish the book but have read a significant portion over the xmas break. I tend to cross-reference textbooks, all of which are great, but this piece has some very sharp explanations that led to a few 'a ha' moments that are very welcome. One thing I would like to add: The text takes the time to describe the meaning and approach taken by formulas helping you to build real intuition around equations.
