It’s actually a nice little easel for larger canvases. Good for beginners or just want an inexpensive one. Cons were that the directions to put it together were awful. If you have never put one together before it was a lesson in patience trying to figure it out. Btw it’s easier if you use a drill gently, final tightening with a screwdriver.( Took out the screws several times). The back plate was a little confusing but finally got it. Here’s a picture of that plate is you need it. It does slide on the floor, so you might want to pick up some rubber furniture leg protector things. 😁

I ordered this easel to hold a 48” canvas but it is several inches short. Because of this, there is no way to clamp the canvas to the easel. It can only be rested on the lower shelf and leaned against the back support, which allows the canvas to wobble and become dislodged when applying pressure to the sides. With the lower shelf on the lowest setting, the canvas bottom is only 16 inches off the ground, making it difficult to reach. It was also missing a wing nut and a couple of screws.

I'm thrilled that this easel accommodates my larger format canvases and I enjoy the solid wood construction. It is stable enough for indoor work, and could be used for plein aire painting, but it does not telescope into a smaller lightweight easel.While mostly easy to assemble with provided hardware, there were 2 screws that would not go in properly and did not seat well. I needed to use a phillips head screw driver which was not provided.Overall, I am satisfied with the look and stability of the product.

This is so great to use! One thing that I appreciate about this specifically is that it is so easy to store. It doesn't take up lots of space, it is easy to take up and down, it's sturdy even though it's thin and compact, it's the perfect height for my needs, and it was packaged well when it arrived.I am 100% satisfied with it and may buy another one in the near future!
