DEVAISE Modern Computer Desk, 55.1" Office Desk with Reversible File Cabinet, Gray Oak

This is well priced and a sturdy desk. We got this to match a file cabinet and we were happy to see that the color match is spot on, even though we bought the file cabinet years ago. Assembly was pretty quick and easy. My only complaint is the cheap styrofoam is tough to clean off because it breaks into small pieces and sticks to everything.We had a couple broken pieces due to a shipping issue (box was absolutely destroyed upon arrival). I contacted Devaise directly and they quickly sent replacement parts.

This desk looks nice, has modern clean lines and is solid and sturdy once assembled. You will not be confusing this with a high quality, solid wood desk...then again, the price is fair for what it is.Shipping damage and assembly is what brings this down to 3 or 4 stars.Inside my shipping carton, all the pieces had moved around, causing some minor damage.Assembly is actually straight forward...the rub is really with the poor instructions. If the manufacturer would have spent a little extra time and effort here, you wouldn't need to look at the instructions several times just to make sure you get each piece assembled correctly. It might not look like it in the pictures, but there's actually quite a few pieces to this desk so better instructions would make this a lot easier. It surprises me that manufacturers are willing to take a ratings hit to save a few pieces of paper and a one-time effort to make better instructions.Nevertheless, you won't be assembling this more then once, so once you get past that it's a descent desk for the price.

Bought this desk for my husband for Christmas since he’s working from home now. I was able to assemble this desk without any problems, but if you get stuck there are some 5 minute videos that are helpful. Assembling the box for the drawers took the most time, but once that’s done everything else goes pretty quickly. This desk is great because 1). It has a couple of small drawers for office supplies, etc., and a larger file drawer at the bottom. 2). This desk it a little longer at 55 inches which is great if you have two monitors. 3). The drawers can go on the left or right side making placement versatile. My husband was very happy with his new desk.

The package arrived on time and well packaged. I do like this computer desk. It is very easy to assemble , took me around half an hour . It just the right size for my office. I am very pleased with the modern design and the color of this desk. The desk is sturdy and have enough room for the storage. All the parts is inside the box so you need to make sure do not lost one part. Overall, this is the desk what i needs for my purpose.

This desk is WAY too flimsy. Forget sitting on it, I wouldn't even lean on it. I reinforced one end with a brace and I'm thinking of bracing the cabinet side before I set my things up on this desk. If you're young and/or move a lot this is NOT the desk for you. It won't stand up to rough handling.On top of that, the paint is chipped on the (rusty) metal rails, one cabinet handle was scratched, another had the hole for the screw so off-center that the threads poke through the top of the handle, and the finish has dings on the lower drawer and the front edge of the desk.It deserves one star because it IS a desk and it's just the right size for my purposes. With some bracing and touch-up it will serve its purpose (and there's no way I'm taking it all apart, repacking it and returning it) but I shouldn't have paid more than $80 for this cheaply-made poorly-designed thing. I would not recommend it unless you're handy, have some time to kill, and get it for 50% off.

We ordered and received 2 desks. 1 out of 2 was received defective. Nice but pain to assemble. See the picture. Misaligned drawer (part 10 defective) slot and threaded inserts fell out of desk top ... cannot mount the metal frame, so we could only assemble 1 desk. Quite expensive that pay for 2 but assemble 1 only. The good one looks really nice so I did not request refund but request replacement for the defective desk...I got email from seller, hopefully we will get a replacement desk free soon.

My home office. I like the drawers and filing cabinet, enough room to have supplies out of site. The desk top is a good size. Plenty of leg room.Took me a few hours to assemble (woman over 60) and two of the required holes were not pre-drilled, but not a problem. I thought the instructions manual was pretty good for this type of item, much better than a lot I've experienced.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

This desk is beautiful to look at but ended up being a piece of junk. When I called support they very unhelpful. They offered me five dollars, which I never saw, for broken desk. They don’t stand behind their products, and would never buy again.The top of the desk separated from the file cabinet area. There is a piece that was attached to the top of the desk that was just attached with tiny nails. This very important piece was what the metal frame was attached to. They didn’t even use some type of glue in addition to those tiny nails. Very very dissatisfied. Be wary.
