Application of high torque is practicable
The parallel splines of the Torx drive head made it possible to put lots of torque into driving the screws with little risk of the camming-out expected with more traditional heads (e.g. Pozidriv and slotted). The aim was to improve the security of attachment of my garden gate frame to a brick wall. Since I was sceptical of driving screws straight into brick etc, I drilled and used wall plugs. The end result seems fine.In addition, these were the only screws of this size I could find in reasonably small quantities.

So Much Easier to Screw into Masonry
This was my first time using concrete screws, after decades of having to use rawlplugs and the like. You drill a hole in the masonry that’s just a bit narrower than the concrete screw. Then you screw directly into the masonry. The only thing to be careful of is not to overtighten the concrete screw, as that can loosen their grip.I used 9 of them to attach a very large and very heavy tool cupboard to my garage wall and it is a very secure fitting. I’m sold!

Impressive
These are really impressive, no complaints! I used a 6mm drill bit and these went in without much of a problem. I did snap the head from one, but it was either because I didn’t drill the pilot deep enough, or hit a barb. No complaints though as it was definately user error, they are all solid as a rock!

Work very well
I have never used screws that go into concrete without plugs so I thought I would try them for securing the base of a new greenhouse to slabs. 1st drilled a 4.5mm pilot hole and let the screws do the rest. Had them in and out a few times and still hold well.
