Update, replaced with another brand, never have an issue now. Also, when they opened the water heater, it has tons on condensation, and when there was water flow, one of the heater elements contacts bubbles and steamed. Never again.Update: it trips everyday now. Looking for a new one.So I've had this a few months. Had it professional replaced. No issues for the first couple weeks. Get really hot and seemed to be working fine. However it started tripping the breaker soon after that, totally at random. Sometimes a week, sometime a couple times a week, and sometimes within an hour. This is a lower wattage than the Rheem I replaced, so it can't be the breaker. Last night I was mid lather, covered in soap, it trips.... In the middle of winter. I had to leave the shower in a towel, so outside to flip the breaker so I could rinse off. Thought this was a good replacement, however I'm now thinking I have to replace it. I've had no issues beside the breaker tripping, flow rate, and temp have been great. Just wish it would stop tripping the breaker.

As far as installing it’s a breeze. The directions that come with the unit explain as well as show the wiring diagram. The only issue that I had after installing the unit and getting it plumbed up was the flow of water. The unit I purchased is very well large enough at 7gpm (replaced 50gal tank) but after several days of trail and error and not being able to get hot water to my shower or soaking tub and getting a code that I had to google I figured out that the hot water line coming from the tank unit to the shower needed to be upgraded from a 1/2” per line to a 3/4” per line to allow more flow from the unit to the shower and tub itself. Had hot water to every other faucet in the house except these 2 but now we have constant hot water and never have to worry about it getting cold anymore. I recommend that it should specify certain things in the installation instructions along with a code list just in case something goes wrong. Other than that we absolutely love this unit!

We had to replace our tankless electric water heater in December 2024. After checking various sources that carried these types of water heaters, we asked our nephew if he would help us install a new one when we purchased one. He immediately recommended we get a Ranein. He had recently installed one of these for a friend and was very impressed with the Ranein water heater he had installed. Once we received the water heater, my husband and nephew replaced our old tankless with the new one. The installation went smoothly and quickly. We love that this electric tankless water heater has a digital readout of the temperature which our first one did not. That is a very good feature and it is also easy to adjust the temperature if needed. We would highly recommend this water heater as it saves space and it also saves on electricity which saves us money.

Been using for 3 months. It's been working very well and I have had no problems. Installed access valves to run descale through it periodically as you are supposed to do. At this price point however, I just bought a second one to have on standby in case the original fails. Hardest part of the install was making room in the breaker panel for 3 double pole breakers. But, if you're handy and have basic electrical and plumbing skills you'll be able to install with few issues. Unit does make a buzzing electrical sound similar to a large transformer while operating but I'm assuming it's the 27kw heater elements drawing quite a bit of current. I do have to make a few repairs in my wall where the old water heater J-box and things were connected but as I tell my wife, I'll get to it eventually, lol. Overall, I am very happy with it and have purchased 2 units for less than I would have paid for a traditional hot water heater that was never able to keep up with my family's demand.
