This west bend popcorn machine is great for movie night! Easy to assemble no instructions needed. It is best to use butter flavor coconut oil which I make myself coconut oil and imitation butter flavor. The smoke point is high on the coconut oil and it makes the popcorn super fluffy. Use a good kernel like Amish and a good popcorn salt my go to is flavacol. It comes out perfect everytime. You just put the oil and salt turn it on let it heat up then add the kernels and watch it pop away. It even has a lighted popcorn sign that gives it added movie theatre type flair. The machine and kettle are easy cleanup I would reccomend this machine to anyone looking to have that theatre experience at home on a budget.

I love popcorn. I prefer movie theater popcorn so i make my own. This is the third popcorn popper that i have tried. The first one broke after a few months. The second one was trash because it was a bad design and no matter how hard I tried, the heating coils would get the popcorn oil on it. I have to say the other two were not West Bend models. They were, however, pretty big name brands.I have always wanted the popper that looks like the ones at the movie theaters but not so bulky.I am so glad I found this one. The price was right and the size is perfect.I do purchase the butter popping oil and the popcorn salt to make sure tis exactly like the popcorn you can get at the theaters.A few weeks ago I had some guest in from out of town and I fired up my West Bend popcorn maker and they were all excited and impressed. Needless to say they were all on Amazon ordering their own West Bend popcorn maker.It is easy to use and my favorite part is- easier to clean.It makes the perfect amount of popcorn so everyone can have some and none goes to waste,I highly recommend splurging on the good popcorn butter oil and good popcorn salt and a good brand of popcorn kernels. If you want that traditional movie theater experience then splurge a little on your popcorn seed and the oil.

It’s really nice!!! It’s a great product if ur a pop corn lover like me but HAAAATE spending the price for that movie theater popcorn, it really does taste just like movie theater popcorn corn, THE CON!!! The con is that hot bowl thing inside is a B**ch to get the popcorn out after it’s done popping so u can put it back but honestly th good outweighs the the bad and I’m VERY happy with my purchase, it’s also space saving mine is sitting on my small portable dishwasher cause I live in a smaller apartment and the sound isn’t as bad as u would think!!! My sensory sound sensitive autistic daughter stood there without her noise canceling headphones, now my daughter can handle some noises so if ur kid can’t handle music on a normal level I wouldn’t take this comment and try is around ur kiddo!!! But yes overall I’m happy one full batch in this popcorn machine can feed 18 people a serving and u can go and make another batch immediately if needed!!! Cleaning it is also easier than I thought it would be!!! It is cheaply made tho and if ur not careful the door can pop open so STAND THERE while it pops as u HAVE to turn it off after the pop corn stops popping like a microwave!!! It’s definitely a nice penny pinching price cause I do be penny pinching!!!!

The media could not be loaded. For the price, this machine works surprisingly well. The directions are horrendous. The auger is reverse threaded so keep that in mind during assembly. Not a lot of moving parts so less to screw up. You have to be ready to power off when the popping stops or it will burn quickly. It’s small but makes enough for a half dozen candy-striped paper popcorn bags.

The media could not be loaded. I love that the popcorn from this popcorn popper tastes more like movie popcorn. The kernels seem to be more plump, much bigger and the popcorn butters seem to absorb more in the popcorn in this style. I found an older Pyrex square container that fits perfect in the bottom to catch the popcorn so it makes clean up less and easier to scoop popcorn out into a smaller bowl. It does take a little longer to clean it up as it is a bigger machine. The popcorn smells so good in the kitchen while it pops. I find myself popping more popcorn and leaving a bowl out on my counter as a healthy option of a snack. This is a much better improvement over the round bowl as far as taste and how fast it pops. The instruction booklet provided some great ideas of making different kinds of popcorn. My con in this is that the instruction booklet needs to do better with instructions on how to assemble the inside as I struggle figuring out how to attach the kernel bowl. The instruction booklet was not clear for me to understand. A video showing how to assemble would be even better. The price was competitive to other popcorn machines.

Love this machine. I make popcorn at least 3 days a week work great and easy to use. Perfect size for my motorhome.

Pops popcorn well, but has a few cons. It would benefit from a warming lamp to keep the popcorn warm. The popcorn pushes the door open when popping. The popcorn seed tray at the bottom is a nice idea, but when scooping popcorn out, the tray just slides out and the popcorn and seeds all just mix together, making the tray useless. I also struggle to scoop out the popcorn without dropping some on the floor, due to the way the door and tray are designed. I love the light on front, and the magnetically suspended lid is a great design!
