I think this thing is so neat. I have him sitting on top of my computer plugged into one of the USB ports. I dimmed him to his lowest setting because at the brightest, it damn near blinds me. It looks like it's made out of some normal old PVC pipe and fittings, but I would assume it would be more tedious to try to do it yourself and achieve the same uniformity. It does give me the idea to possible make new appendages for him in the future, for different poses. Whether or not you find it worth it to buy I think is subjective, based on the materials used, and your own DIY spirit, but I like what I received a lot.I think any artist or handman would appreciate having this on their desk.

This is a fun little novelty light, great as a gift! It's plenty bright, I wouldn't want it any brighter, but that's also not the point of the light imho. The joints are a bit flexible, it's just pvc pipe and joints, so you can pose the little guy a bit. It's probably not worth the price for parts, but it's worth not getting the stuff and making it yourself lol. It's a steal on sale though!

This little guy is so cute and cool!! I love that the pipes are bendy so there are a variety of ways you could "seat" him. I appreciate the attention to detail as well, this is not a cheap thrown together product whatsoever.With that, the quality of the bulb itself is too good in my opinion. Since this little dude doesn't have a shade over the bulb it is just directly pointing light out and at the highest level, it hurts my eyes. I'd say it has to be dimmed down to 30% to be able to look at it. My solution to this was to place it on the bookshelf behind my desk, so that I can utilize the extra bright light when I'm doing work or something, and then I can dim it as the night draws near. The touch button is really cool too, I like that it's not an actual physical button and it makes the product feel that much more premium.10/10 recommend.

This is a really cute little lamp. It comes assembled except adding the light bulb. It is made of a light plastic material. It has a low amount of light. It may be brighter with a different bulb, but I have not tried it. It fits in a small space. I think it is decorative and useful.

This table lamp would make a quirky and fun little gift. It isn't too bright but creates a nice warm light. I ordered it for my son's desk and he likes it. So far it seems to be working well and it came assembled out of the box.

This is a clever little light....this dude hung out as we worked on puzzles over the holiday and is not hanging out in my daughters dorm room. Such a simple concept but somehow just brings smiles to peoples faces.Clever item...works well...the dimmer takes a little getting used to but easy to use.

This little pipe man lamp is quite an amusing sight, and no doubt will bring a lot of smiles to whomever sees it. The “arms” and “legs” are movable, and one can put them into quite a few entertaining positions. I do wish the cord was a lot longer considering where I want to set the lamp, but I think I might be in the minority when it comes to that issue. In addition, it took a little bit more of a mere light touch to turn it off and on. In the picture I included, you can see what it looks like on its brightest setting, so you know it doesn’t lack in the amount of light it gives. For the price, this makes a wonderful gift for a child, teen, or quirky adult. Seeing as I am a “quirky adult”, this fits into my home perfectly.

When I saw this pipeman lamp I passed it up several time's due to it being novelty and not a necessary need, but something about it kept getting my attention so I ordered it. It was definitely the right choice.This little guy is hilarious and the cutest thing. You can postion him in so many different ways. My pipeman is sitting at the edge of an accent table I have. I like that his light is dimable and you can adjust the lighting to your preference. If you don't adjust him he's really bright. He's made well and of quality materials. He's been a huge hit and a popular conversation piece this holiday season. I'm glad I ordered him. Definitely worth every penny spent.
