Good tool that just does the job
The main use of this tool is to remove / install drum brake shoe return springs on a small tractor. It did the trick to get them installed although the handles could be longer for added leverage over the springs. After using several times, there did not appear to be any adverse effect on the tip that some users complained broke off.

No cuts or scratches doing drum brakes
I don't care much for doing drum brakes. I decided to give these a try. They worked pretty well. Had to use a little finesse, and experiment finding the right way to use them on my particular application, but it all worked out. Probably the first time I have done drum brakes without getting all scratched up. Well worth the 10 bucks.

Probably better for large drum brake applications
Looked well made designed like other brands. Metal was softer than expected that springs would dig into it when stretching them to slide onto insertion point and get stuck. Ended up using vise grips to pull. I had a small car drum brake, small springs. This tool may be better with larger drum brake applications.

Good for home use
Good for occasional home use. Not the strongest tool. It did flex a little on me. Seems OK for the backyard mechanic.

Amost useless, borderline dangerous
These are almost useless to the point of being dangerous. The end for removing the spring needs 2mm or so more neck on it so the spring can actually bite into the tool and be pulled off safely; instead the spring goes flying off IF you can get a good enough bite on it to remove it.The spring installer part is WAY too pointed and not grooved enough, causing the tool to not stay on the brake stud without a fight. Combine that with the very pointed top part and one can easily slip and hurt themselves with this tool.I gave it two stars instead of one since it DID technically do the job.. but was only marginally better than no tool at all.

All-in-one tool that works well.
A bit more awkward than two or three tools that might be easier to use, but this one works fine and it is 3x cheaper.

Very useful
I had never used a tool like this before having always used channel locks before, but this fit the bill. It made removing and re-installing drum brake springs. It was reasonably stiff enough to work with a VERY difficult primary and secondary spring. I would have given it five stars but the backer plate spring tool at the end didn't fit my backer plate springs.

Excellent brake tool
Good steel. Very stout. Good leverage. Used the pliers 3 times now. There continue to be some drumbrakes out there.
