Berger topiary hedge shear 2711 with round spring, sheep shear with forged blades, blade length: 14 cm

Wanted to try this tool for shearing our Jacob’s ewe and it surpassed my expectations. Very sharp, easy to use once you get a rhythm and feel for it. These are high quality and worth every dollar spent on them.

It is very sharp made out of german steel with german craftsmanship and quality. Love it.We use it to shear our horses and trim our dogs and it works perfectly, we already have 3 of them.It is difficult to find shears of this quality today.

Good product, can tell it won't rust. Hands need to get used to the motion but easy to use for smaller hands. Slight dulling at the wider base part but it'll get the job done. Side note: it cuts skins very easily even slightly dull. Just a warning.

I wanted to try hand shearing my sheep, to lesson the stress of shearing. After research, this was my pick. Nicely, it was inexpensive enough to try out for my first hand shear. I am 5' 3" and female, so do not have large hands, this was perfect for my hands. (You do have to have a strong grip, however the spring action makes it easier.) These also cut through messy, matted wool. These are also easy to sharpen with a large sharpening stone (and yes, you will have to sharpen them after shearing a few sheep to keep the shearing process easier -- I sharpened them for the first time after shearing about 4 sheep. Nothing stays sharp forever.). There might be better hand shears for shearing wool, however most are far too expensive, and too large. For the price, these are great and get the job done.

Nice and sharp

I bought these sheep shears to replace the shears we had that finally wore out. My husband sharpens them when needed to keep them cutting their best. They have a nice sound to them as the blades slide across each other. We use them to trim the grass around out landscape beds. It does a nice job.

I haven’t used them yet but I think they are good. I’ll definitely update
