The media could not be loaded. If you like interesting clocks you will like this one. It will fit about anywhere like a night table, desk, counter top. It is very quiet. One thing is that it uses a "D" size battery but the instructions does not want an alkaline battery to be used. Instead they recommend a carbon/zinc battery. Replacing the battery is recommended every 6 months These are not that easy to find. I did find them from Panasonic on Amazon . It is easy to set, but it only goes forward. No alarm. No light. If you have children make sure they do not pull on any of the numbers. Replacing them is not going to be easy.

UPDATE 10-4-17: I received a free replacement clock last week, and it works perfectly. It looks great on my desk and I've already received a few compliments on it. It's not loud at all which is great (I don't like the traditional ticking sound of clocks in a silent office), but if you're listening for it you can hear when the minute changes. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the customer service in receiving a free clock due to the first clock not working, and the product itself is great for the price. I will not update this review any further unless something goes wrong!UPDATE 9-20-17: I received a refund for the clock I originally received which did not work. The seller contacted me and offered to replace the item - I will provide another update once I receive the new clock.ORIGINAL REVIEW 8-24-17: Other reviews stated that numbers had fallen off in transport; while I did not have that issue, the clock was still broken when I received it. I unpacked the clock and inserted the D battery, and it made a "whirring" sound for a few seconds and stopped. It was silent, and the numbers never changed after 10+ minutes. I even went and bought a new pair of D batteries to make sure it wasn't the battery I had, but that made no difference. Returned and will purchase the nearly identical clock I found which costed ~$9 more. I would not recommend this clock.

Bought one about 3 years ago. It does great- keeps time within a couple of seconds of my computer clock next to it, and I very much appreciate the sturdier 'click/slap' on the hour, especially if I'm drilled in working on something and I have a meeting or other engagement that I have to get in to. I would not keep next to your bed if you're a light sleeper, but it's ideal for everywhere else if you like the look.

I've only had this clock for a day. I use it at work where my office gets a lot of foot traffic. So far at least 50% of the people stopping by have asked about the clock. A lot of them mention the retro design. Time will tell how it slows down since it uses a D size battery but, I plan on changing it out every 2-3 months anyway. I love hearing the numbers flip. This may bug some users but I like it. I bought the chrome version and I'm thinking on getting the black one for the house. All in all a cool clock that will start conversations. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it took longer to ship than Amazon said it would take. I would really like to see a USB version also. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Fun, retro clock to display anywhere. Keeps accurate time and is easy to read from across the room. Great value for the price.

I purchased this clock as a display piece on 11-29-2024. I have had no issues with it until 7-27-25. If anyone has one they know that it makes a bit of noise when the minute changes. It's not loud in the least; sometimes I hear it, and sometimes I don't. As the clock was displayed on a shelf, It simply dropped one of its time flaps. 1/2 of the 8 just fell. Now, whenever the time is 8 and 9 past the hour, It looks terrible. I moved the clock to a table so that I could see what was wrong. The "flaps" are held on each side of the rotating portion. One of the flaps simply broke and the flap fell to the ground. Now mind you that this is a clock and does not get played with, its a clock right? The only time that it would get moved is when the battery needed changing. In the amount of time that I owned the clock, it only needed one battery, so it had not been disturbed since the day that I put a battery in it.

I love this clock. I'm redecorating a room in mid-century mod style and I wanted something with a retro feel for a shelf. It was the perfect choice and, so far, it's keeping the correct time.

I got the clock for my dad, just turned 80!, he loved it. The industrial style, easy to read display were big pluses.
