If you are not a fan of foreign films, you need to start here because this will change your mind. Go watch Drishyam, the original film FIRST. While this movie stands on its own, there will be a bit of confusion until things begin to unfold. But watch the first film of these two. Yes, there are subtitles if you don't speak Hindi (I do not). But do not let this deter you. That's why there is a rewind button.For everyone else...read on.When we hear a sequel is in the making of a popular, even great film, we immediately groan and worry/wonder that they can once again meet the challenge and produce a worthwhile continuation to the story.Drishyam 2 delivers on all accounts, acting, direction, dialogue, emotion, keeping you guessing, wondering...and having a good time all the way through.I don't want to give anything away, except to say the story begins in a very disparate way, making you wonder why you are "here". Patience, friend, all will be revealed. That is about the only spoiler I'll give you.This story is not overly complicated, with sub plots and other things that distract from the reason this film exists - to continue the story. It is complicated, to a point, but not so much that if you are paying attention that you will be lost. They do not waste your time with irrelevant plot elements.Everything matters, and that is why this is a great sequel. They took their time and made sure they had a real story to tell, one that continues what came before and actually contributes to a complete tale, given you watch Drishyam and Drishyam 2 as a whole story. Because now it is.If you liked the first film, you will like this film, trust me.With films like Drishyam and Drishyam 2 coming out of India, they are burying Hollywood right now. Bollywood and Talliwood are coming into a period of great film making. No, not everything is amazing. But when you have stories like Drishyam being made and presented, they are demonstrating they have been learning, growing, maturing, and now able to produce great cinema - no matter the language.

Amazing movie! We finally get some answers. The movie was well paced, storyline was cleverly executed, and the cinematography was beautiful. We get to see the return of the old cast which is great and introduction of a new inspector. Akshaye Khanna does a fabulous job as Inspector Ahlawat. I was very excited to see him on screen after a long time and he does not disappoint. Plot twist at the end was fantastic. Overall, if you enjoyed the first movie, this second one is just as great and enjoyable, if not better. 10/10

I was at the edge of my seat with every scene. The events in this movie are so perfectly intertwined. Everything they show in the movie is of significance and nothing felt out of place. Coupled with the cinematography, the background music, the slow-mo walks (which I usually find incredibly cliched but they seem to have just WORKED in this movie), this movie was a MASTERPIECE. Most sequel blockbuster films rarely live up to the audience's expectations but this one EXCEEDED them. I love everything about this movie and wish there were more like it.

Long movie, but necessarily, with every character planted in the right place, like a sophisticated chess game. Audience need to sit through and pay attention at every detail. Not for people who favor brainless American Super Hero movies. Very dramatic, with a satisfying ending for all parties.

This is a very enjoyable movie. Good plot. A few holes here and there, but the law in India is not the same at in America, so some things might be plausible. The twists are really good.

I absolutely loved the first Drishyam and this one was just as good. Ajay Devgn is such an incredible actor. The storyline is brilliant. It just keeps you off your feet. This is one of my favorite movies that I always recommend everyone to watch.

Good movie. If they can have more suspense and thrillers.Amazing acting by all the stars.
