I am amazed by the wide range of experience of the author in the subject. The book talks about literally all kinds of pickling and fermenting you can think of. The book begins with the basic knowledge on the subject, the general know-how. Then comes chapter by chapter all kinds of recipes. Including quick pickles, vegetables pickles, condiments, meat, beverages, alcohol and more. Some of those include some clearly home made pickles picture which I do enjoy a lot.Homemade fermenting food seems very far and difficult for me. The author provides a very detailed recipes and step by step instructions. You can feel that the author has real experience on the subjects reading the details the author provides. I enjoy very much reading the book and may try some recipes, though some of them are quite complicated and I am not sure if I am up to doing it! So start with the simple ones, and it is also very healthy to eat them too. If you are looking for a book to learn about home made pickles, this can be a very comprehensive guide.
