As much as glowing 5* reviews make me suspicious, sometimes I think that they're justified.I've just taken delivery of one of these side tables and, for the price, I'm very pleased with it.The top is chipboard, covered in a plastic veneer with a grained finish. This has been applied well and looks reasonably durable (not like a stick on plastic film). There are inset metal nuts for the bolts which secure it to the frame underneath.The matt, powder finish on the metal frame and the gloss black on the bolts is even and looks smart. Overall the finish is good for this price point.Assembly was straightforward - there are only 4 parts to the frame, which assemble to each other and the top with 12 bolts. An allen key and spanner are included so you don't need any tools. All of the parts are clearly labeled and there is a proper instruction booklet. Everything fitted together without any problems.I went for the castors, but plastic feet are also included. Both options screw in to the frame.Once assembled the tabletop looks pretty good. The frame isn't too sophisticated or attractive, but at least there aren't any obvious bolt heads in contrasting colours. If you have it tucked in to the side of your sofa (made easier by the open ended frame) you're not going to notice it.Whilst I wouldn't want to test the claimed weight capacity I'm confident that the table is easily up to supporting dinner/a laptop etc.

Excellent product, sturdy. Great for the price. Product was easy to assemble, as others have said. Just as well, as mine didn't come with instructions. But, I guess that shows how easy it was to assemble, if I could assemble it without instructions: I'm normally useless at putting furniture together, plus I did it, more or less one handed, as I've got a cast on one of my hands.Great product!

Solid little table, very cheap, good design, and took less than 15 minutes to build.

I'm loving this brand. This is the 3rd item of theirs I've bought.The side table is put together with bolts and an included Allen key. The instructions are clear and logical. The steel frame is covered with matte black paint and looks good. The wooden top also looks good. The castors are easy to attach and have a nice ball roller instead of the usual wheels. A nice touch of design. The top feels substantial and has rounded corners and a bevelled edge.I've put many flat packs together over the years and haven't come across any better designed than VASAGLE's. It was a pleasure to work with

I bought this to replace a similar item from a chain store. This cost just a few pounds more than the previous item, but there is a huge difference in quality. This one fitted together better, and feels surprisingly sturdy. I love having the castors to easily move it around. My only complaint is that it's a little bit short for my purposes but it might be just right for somebody else! Good value for the price.

Solid. Good quality. The top is good quality and size. I have similar one without wheels from the same company and I love it. Looks the same material as my old one so should be durable. Moves well. Not loose. Shame you can't lock the wheels though. Overall though it's lovely

I chose the dark wood effect. I assembled it in half an hour. All parts arrived with clear instructions. I'm very happy with my table, I have it on wheels. It's sturdy, the height can be slightly adjusted by changing the feet.

I'm rarely given to instant review but here goes. The table arrived today, Sunday, in good time and it took only 20 minutes to assemble. It's now in place and looks great. I like its good size, enough for two mugs of tea, a plate of biscuits, two mobile phones, a kindle and other bits and bobs. Sturdily made, it looks much more expensive than it was. The wood effect top looks like real wood with an attractive dark grain. The option of castors or static foot rests is another plus. Nothing negative to say about this. Excellent value for money and a very practical and attractive addition to our living space.
