Great handles. A perfect fit for my file.

good price for what I needed
wanted to add some handles to the adjustment screws on several vise grips I own . welded on a small lag screw then added a little epoxy as I threaded on the handles. worked well

Did the job. The wood can crack as one forces the tools in but the metal ring holds.

Not well made
These handles arrived in a nice, woven carrying bag, but two out of the five were defective. The machine that pressed on the metal ferrules had crushed the metal, a quality control issue. The metal of the ferrules themselves is extremely thin, which accounts for why the machine that manufactured them could crumple the metal. The term “4.0-7:0” in the product description refers to an assortment of hole sizes into which the tang of the file is inserted, all of which were too large for tangs the 4” and 5” extra slim triangular saw files I was using. The wood of the handles was nicely turned, but the varnish covering them was thickly applied and full of debris, which could easily be sanded off. I returned them due to the defective ones and decided not to reorder because the assortment of hole sizes was too large for the size files I use.

Solved my problem
The product works as advertised. There is such a wide variety of file/rasp tang shapes, sizes, and lengths that I had to drill some of the handles out. The tapers on the tangs required several drill bits for each handle I modified. This isn't a complaint, just a fact of life. The product is comfortable and does the job.

Will not fit medium size bastard files
At least it's made of wood and just a bit of metal. I had to drill out the hole so that I could get the file to fit.

Tamaño demasiado pequeño para haber comprado el tamaño grande. Agujero pequeño y acabado barnizado que no convence. Solo lo recomendaría para herramientas medianas a pequeñas.
