Perfect Fit
This worked perfectly with my Medela pump. I fried my old one in the dishwasher. DO NOT PUT IN DISHWASHER! It WILL melt! Easy to use and clean. Would buy again.

Exactly what we needed
We got the freestyle pump which comes with the soft shields. Over the first couple of months, we were doing okay with those, but I agree with some of the other reviewers that the soft shields were starting to get a bit warped after several uses and cleanings. We wanted a back-up set anyway so we decided to give these hard shields a shot. They are working perfectly with no warping and the pumping is actually a lot faster - a pumping session can be completed in around 7-8 minutes whereas it used to take twice as long. BTW - Medela customer service is awesome. We had a couple of issues with a bag and a spare parts kit, and after a quick phone call they sent us brand new sets, no questions asked. I highly recommend this company and their products.

Much better than soft breastshields
I bough a free-style Medela breast pump that came with soft breastshields. The problem that i was having was that soft breastshield would warp and get out of shape after a few uses. I am pumping 8 times a day and would go through about 4 sets of soft breastshields in about a month. I did the math and realized that if i wanted to breastfeed for a year, i would spend about $500 on breastshields. Please, Medela, have a mercy for a breastfeeding woman! It probably costs a few cents to produce a breastshield anyway. This is twice as much as i paid for a pump itself! Anyway, i tried the hard shell breastshields and could not be happier. They are much easier on my breasts (soft ones will always stick on the skin) and are much more cost affective.

great! better than soft fit breast shields!
I bought the Medela Freestyle pump, which came with the Soft Fit breast shields. After a few uses, the shapes were getting a bit warped-looking and I needed an extra set of breast shields to take to work, so I bought these. I actually like these better than the Soft Fits! They do not bend like the Soft Fits do, and apparently I pump milk faster with these (probably because it doesn't yield like the Soft Fits do, and being rigid, applies more pressure to the breast). I liked these so much that I bought another set to keep at home as well. I also like the fact that these come in different sizes, while Soft Fits are only available as one size (24mm). I highly recommend these for anyone with the Medela Freestyle pump!

Must have for new moms who've chosen to breastfeed
Must have for new moms. Helps baby latch on to breastfeed...basically like putting a bottle nipple on your boob. I used them consistently until about 3 months, then had my son practice without them every now and then. He had it down by 4 months sans shield. Also helps with hyper-lactation.

Great Product
Since Babies R Us closed, and my local stores seem to have stopped selling most Medela products, I haven't been able to find these. I have a Medela pump that works very well, but I needed to change the flange size. Amazon to the rescue! These actually prove to be made better than the ones I already had despite them both being from Medela. The price was better on Amazon than the Medela site, as well. Same great quality at a better price. It's a win-win.

I like to put the breast shield in my bra first
They came on time and were exactly what I needed. Just the shields. If you have the single piece breast shields you can't replace part of it, if say your dog decides to use one as a chew toy. Also I find the two piece "pumpers" as I call them work a lot easier with a hands free nursing bra. I like to put the breast shield in my bra first. Attach the valve/membrane portion of the pumper to the bottle, plug in the tubing, and then when I am ready attach it to the shields already in place. Removal is easier too, I just disconnect from the breast shield and I don't spill as much milk.

Get the job done
I needed replacement shields and these were the most affordable option. I use them with a pumping bra, I just wish they were wider so they’d be more secure in the bra. I have to check them whenever I make the slightest move or accidentally bump them. I definitely can’t hold the baby while wearing them but it works out when baby is asleep. I like how simple it is to assemble and clean vs other type of pumps that requires a tiny brush to get into the nooks and crannies.
