This digital TV channel converter works well on local digital TV channel in this area. This is the 2nd one that I have purchased. They both work well to watch the local news & weather. I am happy with them & would recommend them for local use.

I am completely satisfied; my old television got only 2 channels before this purchase, now I have numerous channel selections.

Connected this box to an old analog VHS player so that my grandson could record OTA TV signals. Works better than expected. It has a USB port so one can record to a Thumb Drive or directly to the VHS recorder. He’s having fun experimenting old technologies.

The remote control when this ZJBOX was purchased did not work right. Several buttons did nothing and most buttons where labeled wrong as to what function the remote control key should control. The ZJBOX box would record programs all the way though an one hour show and even longer with no problems. Later the company offered a firmware update so I updated the firmware on the ZJBOX box with an USB flash drive. After I updated the firmware the remote control worked good. The bad news is now the ZJBOX box freezes up, in usually under 13 minutes, every time I try to record with it. I even tried recording several different channels and it still freezes up. I also tried several different flash drives and the ZJBOX still freezes up with each different flash drive. When the ZJBOX freezes up, it requires a person to unplug it and re-plug it in again each time. It also freezes up if you use the programming function to change channels at a set time for recording to an external source like a DVD or VCR.This is the third Digital to Analog box that I have purchased and none of them have worked totally right. The other two I purchase died completely in under a years time. They were an Ematic and Zinwell.

Easy setup

Product does work but only if you can figure out the remote control. Clock does not work when set on 12-hour setting and resets itself randomly. When set on 12-hour time clock reports time past midnight as "00" rather than "12". Manual is very difficult to read and virtually useless. Boot time is very slow as is channel change. Seems to record to external hard drive and some flash sticks but not others. Does not record to SD media (as advertised) and could not get it to record using USB hub.

I have only had this device for about one week. It replaced another which did not work as expected. I got this to use the free off the air TV and to record. There are a few programs we enjoy watching and do not like sitting through commercials. This device allows me to see the off the air TV and to record it. You have to know what channel and when the shows are as I have not found a guide to suit me yet. But I like the device so far.
