good deal on velvet yarn. super easy to work with, super soft as well. does shed for me a bit but nothing too crazy or unexpected.

This yarn is super soft and the amount you get for the money is a great value! Perfect for a beginner who may want to make a baby blanket for themselves or a friend/family member!

This yarn is beautiful in color & feels so soft. I purchased it in a pack of 6 skeins. The first two I used were great. The third skein was much thicker than the first two but color & feel was the same. It was so much thicker that it is very noticeable in my blanket. It also had eight to ten areas that it had been cut & tied together with large knots. They were large enough that I had to cut & retie them. I am so disappointed since this is for a dear friend's new baby.UPDATE-I ordered this a second time to complete the blanket. I have gotten through about 1/3 of the first skein. It has had numerous stains in the yarn. I've had to cut those areas out & retie the yarn. I've decided I won't be ordering this again & don't recommend it unless you don't mind many imperfections.

This is the most dense yarn I've ever used. I wasn't expecting it turn make such large things. I used an 8mm crochet hook, and used 5 of the 6 skeins of yarn to make this enormous amigurumi toy/pillow. While working with it, I had almost no fluff whatsoever come off of it. It's also really soft, and flexible, (it wasn't hard to hold up or yarn over my crochet hook) but also lightweight. Such high quality yarn!

The HOMBYS velvet baby blanket yarn is oh so very soft. It has a very plush feel to it and is a good size for making bigger items like blankets are larger crocheted stuffed animals (what I intend to use it for). The color combo of these strands in nice with a pretty blue, gray and white combo. This pack includes 6 large skeins and should be enough to make a small baby blanket or a couple of stuffed animals.

I like that this comes bulk in one package. One package provides the right amount for a small baby blanket.The yarn is super soft and thick. This should be a very comfy blanket for any baby!
