Fantastic Noise Cancellation
I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I got these to replace my M3 which was falling apart after using it for 6 years. The M4 however has all the features the M3 has and has better noise cancelling. As someone who struggles a lot with outside noises, I’ve been using this for everything:To go to the gym and be able to listen to my own music in peace and not be disturbed by the gym music; To sleep through the morning noise of construction and land mowers; To enjoy less noise in flights;Battery life has been excellent so far as well.Overall great purchase and so far has been worth every penny. The sound quality is also great, but what really makes it outstanding is the sound proofing; both the physical and the active cancellation are excellent.

If you want noise canceling headphones, get these!
These are probably the best noise canceling headphones available currently ... based on reviews and my own (and friends') experience. I bought these on a friend's recommendation who had search reviews for weeks before buying. She was spot on. These are amazing. The sound quality is great, and the noise canceling is even better. They are also cheaper than other brands that aren't as good. They are comfortable and easy to set up. Battery life is about 8 hours. I have not used the mic, so I cannot comment there.

Outstanding
These headphones are amazing. I started off with the WH-1000XM3, they were so great that my husband and dad bought a pair for themselves as well. When my dog ate my pair, I purchased the WH-1000XM4. They are by far the best pair I have owned- I use them when I am moving the lawn, noise cancelling feature blocks out the mower completely. Sound is great and they are very comfortable. They automatically connect to my Bluetooth as soon as they are turned on. You are paying for the quality and they are worth it- much better than my Bose or Beats headphones.

Very Comfortable, But Be Careful If You Have Vertigo
These headphones are awesome. I have jaw and ear issues so normally headphones become uncomfortable after a while, but I can wear these for hours. I've haven't tried other over ear headphones in a similar price range so I can't say how they compare, but they sound as good to me as my Sennheiser Momentum earbuds, meaning, great. The noise canceling is also pretty great, it's very helpful for me when I'm out and about in overwhelming noisy situations such as shopping at Walmart (I'm undiagnosed, but pretty sure I'm autistic, if that's helpful for anyone in the same situation). There is a little weirdness with moving around because the headphones try to adjust to the noise level, but you can set it so it doesn't do that.Unfortunately I'm not able to wear them as much as I like, which is not the fault of the headphones. I have recurring vertigo (lots of testing but no pinpointed cause), and I ended up having a pretty bad episode after wearing them a lot. This is the first time I've been able to wear noise canceling headphones for long periods of time, so it's probably likely it would occur with any headphones with anc.I enthusiastically recommend these to someone who needs a comfortable pair, or has sensory issues, but if you have vertigo, maybe try out a cheaper pair first. I don't know how many people this review would actually help, but I couldn't find many people talking about issues with headphones and vertigo so I figured I'd post it.

Tried others loved the Sony’s
I watched a YouTube interview with Skunk Baxter and he mentioned he liked the Audio Technic head phones. I thought if good enough for the Steely Dan guitarist I would give them a try. Sad to say I was not happy, so I gave the Sony’s a try. I’m really happy with them. Excellent sound that can be fine tuned to my ear. Very comfortable and light weight compared to the Audio Technics. I noticed some reviews complained that when they talk the head phones stopped working. That is actually a feature that can be disconnected.

Good ANC and sound quality, problems with connectivity and controls.
The noise cancellation is excellent, and the sound quality is quite good. The connectivity to two bluetooth devices at the same time is a little dodgy. Sometimes, one of them, my laptap, will not properly send to the earphone even though they are listed as the active bluetooth connection. The audio appears nowhere. This might not be the fault of the Sony headphones, but my apple airpods manage this feature without fail. Also, the touch controls are very unreliable. I try to tap the right-side earpiece to pause/restart audio, and it often doesn't work. But sometimes it does.

WORTH BUYING YALL
Came still sealed in plastic like new, did not come charged so make sure you charge them after before trying to use. Sound quality was great and very durable, although refurbished I wouldn’t be able to tell them from a new pair
