The best dark roast of its kind, bar none
Peet's French Roast is the best coffee blend of its kind. Nice and strong, little bit of an edge but not at all bitter. Been drinking this for years, and nothing else comes close.

Good flavor but bitter
I love to drink a good French Roast that leaves no bitter aftertaste. Unfortunately, this brand of French Roast is not one of them. It has a good chocolaty, truffle flavor, but you get that strong bitter aftertaste. I was hoping that this was the one. So far the only French Roast that meets the standard of chocolaty, truffle, smoky taste is the Starbucks French Roast. So I guess I will stay with them.
