I ordered these picture frames with great anticipation. I was hoping for a different way to present my gouache paintings on my mantel at home. These picture frames are perfect for me, and I was thrilled with them. This is a floating picture frame, which means your photograph appears as if it is midair in the frame. I ordered the 5X7-inch frames. At first, I was slightly perplexed about how they worked, but I caught on after a few seconds. You can easily put in your painting or photograph once you pop out the round circle on the back and remove the back plexiglass. I put in a 4X6-inch gouache painting. It only took me two tries to center the painting, replace the backing, and restore the hanging circle. I then spent a few moments determining where to place the metal bars to allow the frame to stand on my mantel. If you want the frame to stand vertically, you screw in the bars on the bottom of the vertical lengths on both sides. While all this was pretty basic, and I figured it out in less than five minutes, a description from the manufacturer would have made this go even faster. I am happy with how my artwork appears in this frame. I am glad I tried this particular manufacturer and will order more, especially since they are affordable.

I got a pair of 8x10 frames. This is my first experience with floating frames. I love the idea, and I will experiment with different locations to see where I like them best. Unless you choose a picture that takes up the entire frame (which to me defeats the purpose of a "floating" frame), your "mat" will be whatever is behind your picture frame. Right now I have mine in front of my brick fireplace. They come with hardware to stand the frames up vertically or horizontally or to hang them on the wall, but I have not used either of those as yet, so I cannot comment on that. Since these are made very well with quality materials, they are somewhat heavy. But remember, you have two pieces of glass in each frame.I love these frames, and I look forward to finding unique ways to display them. The price was a great bargain for a pair of quality frames. I highly recommend these frames.

These frames are really nice! I love the design. The black frame really draws your attention. I think the frames look a lot like an iPad - pretty cool look for your desk.I also like how you can use the frames for a variety of photo sizes. When using a smaller photo, they look like they're floating in the frame. Very nice.The hanger on the back of the frame is really unique. Not only can you easily move the photo around in the frame through this hanger, the hanger doesn't show when the frame is on the wall. Clever.If you won't want to hang the frame, you can use the included legs to prop the frame on a desk.I have one of these frames on the wall and one on my desk. I plan on ordering another set so I can have more of the frames on the wall. I really like them!The frames arrive in a nice box worthy of gift-giving. I think these would make a very thoughtful gift.

I purchased 3 boxes of these frames for Christmas gifts.I actually love the frames, although turning the pegs in the back to install the picture is very difficult.Unfortunately, one box was missing the metal legs for standing the frames on a desk. I thought no problem, I will call customer service they will handle this simple problem. NO! They cannot handle this simple problem. Their response was: for ME to fix it. I am to DRIVE to the UPS store, return this Christmas gift and re-order another. What kind of customer service is that??? That is not the business helping the customer. It's the customer handling the business' problem. It's Christmas, who has time for extra problems and running around! Very disappointing.
