There are a bunch of similarly-priced, though somewhat cheaper, options available for window locks. I ultimately chose this one for a couple of reasons:---More likely to be USA-made (based on the description not being your typical gibberish by a non-native English speaker or translation app---Superior build quality (based on reviews)---More flexible use and adjustability (based on reviews)I have not been disappointed thus far.We have 30 year-old windows in an 80-year-old house. Not one of them locks anymore. Installing these locks was quick and painless, and the fit is as good as one could reasonably hope. Attempting to open the window with maximum force (I'm a 33 year old male in decent physical shape) they don't budge at all, and they certainly feel rock solid. No complaints.

I live in the older house and just wanted some extra protection on my windows and these locks work perfect they don't fit on every single window frame, but they work great.

Just put these on all my windows after being broken into thru a window. They fit very snug and tight. Nice because I can open a bit to let air in but know the window is still locked.So glad to find these locks! Easy to put on, take off. Do not mar the window frame. Totally recommend!!

My windows slide horizontally and the window locks slide on very easily. The "key" isn't the best tool for tightening the locks in place, but the other provided tool works great. If you have an Allen wrench of the proper size, that would work well, too.I would say that for maximum security on windows like mine, the window should not be allowed to slide open at all. This will keep the window from being lifted out of the frame.For keeping toddlers inside and allowing some ventilation, allow the window to open an inch or two.

I ordered two sets of these total of 12 and all I installed them today. Myself only had one window left yet to go. It was hard to get to haven’t been able to get to it yet, but I am very pleased with these. I feel secure now, especially in one room. I was kind of concerned, but now that I have them fixed I’m no longer worried. I’m really glad that I found these on here. They are perfect sturdy and easy to install. I highly recommend these for anyone That is in doubt about security now I need to get my doors secured.

I purchased these bc they had a good price and we need a few more to secure our windows. Unfortunately, these are much larger than the previous ones we purchase so, I will be returning these to keep the look uniform and the smaller profile. From what I can tell the quality looked good and thex can get the job done.
