I purchased this safe because my little lock box was too small and not sturdy enough to safely contain my loot, docs and other items.This safe has exceeded my expectations in many areas. First off it is large enough hold many items with plenty of space to organize inside. Its outside appearance is very handsome. It can be bolted down. It has light inside that turns on when you open the door. The digital keypad is very easy to program and easy to use. It also has a keyed compartment inside the safe for keeping your more personal items hidden and safely locked away. This is a very good safe at a very good price. You will be glad you bought it.

I like the hidden compartment that locks so you can allow some access to one while maintaining control of the other. The safe also seems well built with no issues of scratches or chips in the paint as others have mentioned. I don't use the keypad and only plan to use the keys and hope that it continues to allow me to open over time. Note some reviewers have complained about not being able to open. At this point I like the product and recommend it. I will update my review If the situation changes.Note this is not a fire resistant safe.

This was a great price and replaced a much larger safe I could not take when I moved. It is light enough for one person to carry away, so it will have to be built-in or bolted in place for added security. There's a key to open the front as an alternative to the keypad (two keys included) and a second set of keys (different size) to open the second interior area. That's fairly large and would a cigar box and then some. The combination can be set to whatever you want and changed. The keypad is all plastic, as is the dial that opens the door. If the battery dies or you forget the code, use the key. There's a little sliding door (plastic) that conceals the keyway. There's two shelves, a small pocket on the door and key hooks. The pocket and hooks - plastic. When the door closes, it's inset and there virtually no gap, so it would be difficult to get a crowbar in there. For the money it's a great little safe.

The media could not be loaded. When I tell you I hate the hassle of trying to send something back, that is a severe understatement. We review safes. That's what we do. I have purchased hundreds of safes over the years and have only sent back 3. Many purchased on Amazon. First things first. The bottom compartment would not open. I just spent the last hour with a rubber mallet and needle nose pliers trying to get the door open without damaging the door or hinge. Luckily, I was able to Jimmy it open, however, now I will spend another 15 minutes touching up the black paint that fell off the door and frame during the process. The functionality of the safe is fine. Easy to set up and use immediately. The knob used to open and close the safe seems cheap. A heavier knob would enhance the safe. The safe is big enough to store documents, passports and non expensive jewelry. This safe is not fire or water proof. It has a decent weight. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. That stubborn door is what kept this safe from getting 4 stars. Other than that, the safe is decent. After all, it was only $100. I have bought much better safes in this price range.

If your in the market for a safe this id the one. This is the 3rd dafe o hybrid purchased on Amazon the other 2 were gifts, this is my personal safe and I love it. The hidden compartment in the bottom also has it's own separate key to lock. The space is a nice size,the alarm feature works great my 1 year old grandson has set it off a couple of times. It's a great purchase for the money and you won't be disappointed.
