Large project in kitchen for lights under counter tops and backsplash. It is a little complicated to install if you are not familiar but can be done and result is magnificent. The expense depends on how many sheets you end up buying. I had a contractor who had done this before but I still had to do my research and advise him as he would otherwise have done it incorrectly. Lily at customer support was very helpful and even sent me extra spacers via fedex to complete my project as the contractor applied too many in an area and ran out. She replied to emails within hours.The 12 W LEDs are adequate without requiring dimmers. I used 6000K single color LED sheets. The 36W were too bright and may require too much voltage for your breaker depending on how many you install and will need a dimmer. You have to have countertops which allow light to shine through.1. Decide on your layout. The sheets are 9.5 in x 19 in each and come four in one box and are connected in series via short wire connectors supplied. They can be cut to size. You can connect up to eight in one run without having voltage drop as per the instructions. You can have more than one separate run depending on your transformer size. For example, you could connect all eight to one wire of the transformer and up to 8 more to the other wire of the transformer. Thus you could connect 16 sheets totaling 192W and use a 250 or 300W 24VOLT transformer. Use up to 80% of the transformer wattage if needed or buy a higher wattage transformer if you are using more sheets.2. The sheets have a strong adhesive on the back. Mount them on a piece of plywood (or whatever your flat firm base is below your counter top) next to each other the entire length of your counter. They can be cut to size every inch or so. Once mounted, use a longer wire (bought separately on minxue website in their wire kit) to connect one end sheet of each run to the transformer. You can buy a controller at their store but I connected the transformer to a switched outlet so did not use a controller. If you use plywood as I did, the plywood would have to be mounted to your firm base first (such as the top of the base cabinets and then the sheets would be mounted on top of the plywood).3. Use the supplied round 1/2 inch tall hard spacers and mount them on designated spots on each sheet; they have an adhesive back and can support 400 lb each per the instructions. You get 6 spacers per sheet. The spacers are used to raise your countertop 1/2 inch above the LED sheets. You cannot place the countertop directly onto the sheets or they will get crushed.4. Place your countertop on top of the spacers. The countertop will now rest on the spacers. There will now be a 1/2 inch gap on all sides of the countertop through which you can see the lights mounted below so your countertop would have to be cut to have its sides drop below the height of the plywood and spacers to hide the gaps. If however, you had a bar/counters with front and side panels, then they would hide the gaps when they are attached to the countertop to keep it in place. You could also mount lights behind the front and side panels on a hard flat surface, use spacers, then place the panels in front of the spacers to enclose the top, front, and sides leaving no gaps all around. You would now have lights all around your bar/counter.It is relatively easy once you familiarize yourself on how to do it, have a small one piece counter top, and if you do not need to mount onto plywood first. If you have long counters or counters which require seams, it is more complicated because of issues with leveling your counter. The supplied instructions are adequate but I did have questions and Lily answered them within hours.

We’re so glad that we decided to try out this LED panel for our Cristallo Geilo quartzite countertop—it turned out to be absolutely stunning with the lights illuminating it from below. The panels are exceptionally well-made and sturdy. Although the installation was a bit challenging, the support we received made all the difference. Lily, the seller, went above and beyond to assist us, even connecting us with the manufacturer’s technical support in China. We couldn’t be happier with the final result!

Product is of quality. Installation process was easy thanks to Lily in customer service who assisted every step of the way. Questions were answered in a surprisingly prompt manner through Amazon messaging. I gave Lily the dimensions of the counter and she sent back a list of parts and a layout of how the lights should be installed. Extremely satisfied with the product and support!
