The LED lights are the real showpiece here
This review is for the "skulls" version of this product. When I initially received it, this product did not make a good first impression on me: a plastic bag full of flat foam-core skulls with screen printing on only one side, some little white dots, and another bag of clear plastic spheres. What is this? The more I played with them, though, the more I understood the intent. The size of the skulls are quite large at 16" high, which doesn't seem all that big until they're in your front yard. You can definitely see and identify them from 15' away. The stakes are fairly thin, which is worrisome until you realize you can insert them quite deep into even pretty tough soil, and they insert easily into the skulls without damaging or tearing them. The foam core that the skulls are made of are water-proof, so if you want to put up some Halloween decorations early, these are fine choices for that. They'll stand up to rain or sprinklers or light snow, no problem. So for the base product, put them close to your house amongst your bushes, and you'll be in good shape. The interesting bit are the plastic spheres and those white dots I mentioned. At first, I thought the white dots were glow-in-the-dark phosphors, but nope, it's just the backing for really sticky double-sided adhesive. The plastic spheres are surprisingly *bright* purple LEDs with a thin strip of waxed paper to keep the battery contacts separated. You remove the paper strip, and they light up. The adhesive is for sticking the lights to the skulls in whatever eye "shape" you find pleasing. You can reinsert the strip into the battery many times, breaking the connection and saving the battery, and enough LEDs are included to give each skull two eyes more than twice over. So, you have a choice: you can put them out a week early, remove the strips and hopefully expect the battery to last until Halloween, then throw away the first set of eyes and use the second set the next year. Or you can put the skulls up super early, leave the wax paper in place, then remove and save them on Halloween afternoon to light them up just for Halloween night, reinserting them and using them for years to come.Likewise, storing the skulls for next year is a breeze: remove them from the stakes, bag them, remove the stakes from the ground, bag those too, throw in the eyes you have left for next year. So setup and tear down both take only a few minutes and you have a solid decoration for years to come. So, all in all, a product that doesn't make a great first impression but after you've had time to play with them a bit, you can definitely see the value! So rate the product based on how many of these skulls you can get per dollar, and how much the idea of those LED bulbs interests you. 'cause I gotta say, there's an interesting third option: just put up the skulls, keep the LED bulbs, then Halloween night, light them all up and sprinkle them in the grass around your walkway. That to me might be an even creepier and more interesting use for them...

These are ok
These are decent. They come with round stickies to add the lights to the eyes. I don't like the fact that the eyes stay on all the time because I'm not sure how long they will last. These would be better if maybe they glowed in the dark because all you can see at night is the tiny lights.

Cheesy, Cheap, Sturdy
If you're going for tacky, then these are great Halloween decorations. You basically set them up like you would a cardboard yard sign. They'll last at least one season, and possibly more. The glowing eyes are small battery-powered items that you have to stick on. They don't seem to stay on long and I don't think there is a way to turn them off. They're probably good for Halloween night, but not much longer.

Decent
I love the design of the skulls a lot. The sticks to stick in the ground are metal and could be a little better but I get it. The tape is not double sided at all and the eyes will run out of battery. They are not solar powered which stinks.

Spooky Eye Glowing Skeleton Yard Signs
I love these yard signs! They are a fun and spooky addition to my Halloween decorations. They are detailed and durable, adds a touch of eerie charm to my yard. The signs come with stakes for easy installation and are lightweight making is very easy to set up. I usually do prefer a larger sign to take up more of the yard, but for a small sign these do make an impact. They are made of a corrugated plastic and have been holding up well in the sun and weather. The light up eyes are a nice touch for when it is really dark outside. Simple design and easy to store.

Big yard decor
Big decoration that is easy to set up, take down & store for next season at an affordable price. The skulls are vivid colors that look nice during the day as well as at night. I haven’t put the LED eyes on yet since it’s still 3 weeks before Halloween. I plan on waiting until a few days before to try them out. Hopefully they’ll last a few days, but if not there are enough extra lights for me to add new ones on Halloween night. Our walkway lights cast light on them & they look pretty cool as they are. I’m definitely excited to see them come to life with the stick on eyes for the extra spooky look.
