Quality rod at a low pricepoint
Bought for fishing for sunfish and small bass. Have not had a problem yet and am extremely pleased after a full 7 day trips of fishing it has not had a single problem. Extremely sensitive and not difficult to setup.

Rod snapped in a Month but company is sending me a new one free of charge.
I got this rod on April 16 2025 and it was very good I used it almost everyday and caught many fish but today May 13 2025 was the bay I got snagged on a tree and while getting it out the rod snapped while I do recommend this rod just be careful with it. This company is the greatest they saw my review and offered to send me a new one. This rod is great for casting light lures like a beetle spin I have this rod paired up with the Piscifun Torrent baitcaster reel and they both work like a dream.

Not a serpent
Seems like a decent rod for the price. I bought the one piece Serpent 7’2” medium light rod a while back to use for throwing light weight jigs and Ned rigs. I wanted to buy a two piece Serpent spinning rod in medium weight to use for drop shopping and throwing jerk baits but they never seem to have any available. Thus, I opted to buy this rod instead. It will work for what I bought it for but the quality is not as good as the Serpent series spinning rods.Update: I fished with this rod this week and it’s junk. The upper section comes loose about every third cast and is so flimsy you can’t get a decent hook set. Save your money. When you only have so much time to fish spend your money on quality fishing tackle to make your day more satisfying.

Bad product. Bad customer service. Broke on 2nd use.
Just like other reviews, this rod is junk. It broke on the 2nd time using it. It broke right where the pieces connect together. I contacted the manufacturer and explained the issue. They did respond and asked me to send them pictures and my order number. I did that and didn't receive a response. After a couple days I followed up and asked them if the information I sent was sufficient. Still no response from them. Bad product. Bad customer service.

Rod breaks easily
if you're expecting a premium rod for sub $40 from this, you're wrong. As many people have said in other reviews, the rod will snap fairly easily under normal use. the rod feels nice in the hand, i used it for a 2 day camping trip and daily use after that, this last week i was at a friend's private property to catch some bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish to have a fishfry with him and his family. the rod's second half was pulled out of the groove that it fits in and it ended up getting cracked, i didnt have a backup rod to use so i put it back in the groove and went to bed, went fishing the next morning and at mid day i had caught a 2lb bass that ended up being the last straw for that rod, it snapped the exposed carbon piece clean off. I wouldn't buy this rod again in a million years. Go spend the extra $20-$30 on a Daiwa Aird-X casting/spinning rod.
