Design Toscano Talisman, Gargoyle of the Eclipse Statue

This is a nice piece for your bookcase but it really is not suitable for the garden, for several reasons. It is smaller than you think - from head to toes its the size of a tin of beans. The colours are so dark that you just dont see it against a background of plants and soil. The head is angeld downwards, so if you have it at ground level or standing in a plantpot then all you see is the back of his neck and the gap between his wings. Also, I have found with others in the range, the paint tends to crack and flake after a year, due to frost action in the garden. So I would say this is a nice piece to have up on a bookshelf looking down - but NOT for the garden - better to but something big and chunky in light coloured sandstone.
