Great for weighing puppies!
Great product! I used it to weigh my newborn puppies and it worked great. I ready reviews that the scale was wobbly but I’m guessing they didn’t remove the white stickers before placing the scale on top. If you watch the video posted on the product page, it shows you how to put it together correctly.

Easy to use and accurate
The scale is well built and accurate. Small and light weight for easy use and storage. I used mine to weight my puppies at birth and to track their weight as they grew. I even got to use the scale with my baby goats to measure their birth weight and progress as well as to calculate medication needed based on the current weight.

Very Good Product, Tray Somewhat Small for Giant Breed Puppies
This is a decent product. Make no mistake about it. It seems to match our vet’s scale and it’s easy to use. I can’t speak to the longer term durability at this time, but it’s sufficient for a litter of whelps until they leave home at 8 or 12 weeks. Now, that all said, if you’re whelping giant breed pups, (for us it’s a litter of Great Danes), don’t expect it to be easy after the first 3 weeks!First, the scale says it’s good for weights up to 30 pounds, which is why I bought it. And it is. However …While the tray is nicely shaped and convenient for sleepy, calm newborn pups up to about 5 or 6 pounds, it’s also “tilty,” with accurate readings being reliant upon keeping it balanced to the center point. When you’re trying to weigh a struggling, wiggly-cute pup that’s 10 or 15 pounds — especially a gangly Dane pup, where it’s just knees, elbows and licky-tongues flying every which direction — be prepared to have more than one person involved. Perhaps even three. It takes a great deal of effort to keep all of that hot mess balanced evenly upon 4 paws, strategically-placed into a roughly 12x5, curved-shape trough-type surface area! (My measurements aren’t accurate … going by estimations, since I don’t recall the actual dimensions - it may be slightly larger than that, but it feels much smaller in the above, chaotic scenario). We release pups to their forever-families after second vaccinations, at 8 weeks. At that point, these pups are around 40 pounds, so this scale isn’t quite making it the full way for us. But fair warning: I’ve learned that, at 20 pounds+, you’d better enlist the help of your local NFL Defensive Line to assist, if you want a somewhat accurate weight, because that’s what it’s gonna take!In closing, if you’re rearing a small or medium breed dog, (or cats, I assume, although they’re scratchy), I’d say this is a fantastic scale for you and well-worth the money. We’ve dropped ours often due to struggling face-lickers, but it’s held up time and again. Aside from the battery cover being prone to fall-off, (which may be our fault, as a result of the first fall), we’ve had no troubles and the weight has matched closely with our vet’s scale at both well-puppy visits. If, however, you’re a big dog person like we are, it’ll get the job done. But, maybe 4-stars instead of 5.Either way, may the universe bless you with a lifetime of puppy-kisses!

Maybe a Hamster But Not a Small Dog
I have three small dogs ranging in weight from 3.5 to 9.5. It was too unstable for the dog to sit still long enough and the weight was all over the place. A piece of junk.

Looks nice for price and fast shipping..not sure on accuracy though
Needed this to weigh neonatal puppies. So accuracy is important. Can’t say on its accuracy yet, every time I tried it with the pup I got a different number.. may be because the pup wouldn’t hold still. But still weird that I got weights ranging from 100 grams to 380. Huge range for a try each time yikes! I tested to see if any difference by weighing a bottle of water and a can of soda. Off just a bit. I will try again later. Maybe it’s a callibration issue? I really want this to work as any time spent without a scale while sending this back and waiting for a new one is not ideal. I need to be able to record weights regularly. If it resolves itself, I will update rating. If not, I’ll have to return. The pros though are that I Received it very fast. Size is nice. Feels a little light/cheap but definitely not horrible. Overall look is nice for price.

GREAT FOR SMALL Newborn Puppies
Very accurate and please read instructions If you use the sticky the tray will NOT wobble or be loose I had squirmy puppies and no problems because hubby read the instructions and used the sticky for the tray when attaching it Yeah I can't see it staying on if you didnt I used multiple times already on a litter of pups and its FAST so that's a bonus Tape measure is cute bonus and designed to use round also so you can measure necks etc. I have another scale I bought to weigh crystals and paid more and its less acurate so this will get used for those when the pups outgrow it NOT for large puppies You might get 2 weeks out of larger breeds and then they prob won't fit the tray so not accurate at that point But my smaller medium pups will work for a while
