Blessing in Disguise
Most Mac users can attest that port availability has long been a bane of our existence. I get that Steve had a weird aversion to cords and so now we must all suffer with non-compatible accessories and severely limited expansion options ad infinitum, it just sucks that we are forced into accepting a monopolized hegemony OR risk serious intentionally designed damage to our equipment by using unsanctioned accessories outside of the Apple ecosystem. That being said, I had one of these that was like a square and each side had a different set of three ports (e.g., USB ports, USB C ports, HDMI ports, audio jack/ VGA ports) and I used it through three upgraded machines. Now my current machine and my battle-tested square box o' accessibility don't jive together and I needed something more updated. I ordered the Apple MFi Certified USB-C to HDMI Multiport Adapter for iPhone 15 MacBook Pro Air iPad Pro, Type-C Digital AV Hub with 4K@60Hz HDMI, USB 3.0, 100W PD Compatible with Samsung Galaxy, Pixelbook, XPS and boy am I glad I did. I had no idea that I had been sacrificing such a high percentage of my picture/video quality due to the square accessory not being able to handle higher frame rates/pixel densities. I thought that because I had an HDMI cord hooked to my 4k monitor and my machine could handle 4k, I'd be getting 4k. The Box never factored in. Immediately upon plugging in the Apple MFi Certified USB-C to HDMI Multiport Adapter for iPhone 15 MacBook Pro Air iPad Pro, Type-C Digital AV Hub with 4K@60Hz HDMI, USB 3.0, 100W PD Compatible with Samsung Galaxy, Pixelbook, XPS I noticed a difference. Like seeing all the colors in the 64 crayon box for the first time. I was shooketh. This thing works and works well. Solid seal on the connections. Good give on the main cord so that you can position it however you have to monkey it in to make it work with your setup. Doesn't overheat or cause my machine's fan to false triggers. All in all, pretty dope. You should get it.

Average quality USB-C to HDMI adapter
This USB-C to HDMI adapter works on both Apple and Android devices with no issues, but the plastic housing feels pretty cheap so longevity be may turn out to be an issue down the road. But for now, there are no problems so it functions as designed, albeit nothing special to stand out amongst the crowd.
