easy to fit
Easy to fit, just screw it on. i fitted this to my very old hose reel, which was leaking badly for a long time. Once fitted, which was easy, no more leaks. Very happy with the item.

Hozelock - Prices are extortionate for a piece of moulded plasic with an O ring!
Does what it's supposed to do, at an inflated price. Every other hose fitting is 3/4 BSP, apart from this Hozelock one, and there's no need for it to be different apart from being a moneymaker for them.

Working well so far
Existing reel connector kept pushing the pipe out when pulling the pipe out from reel or even when pressure washer is stopped. This is not happening as frequently after replacing this reel connector. Most likely replacement of black washer would have been enough. Not sure. There must be a better coupling mechanism.

Doesn't fit older hose reels
I was refurbishing my old Hoselock reel, some 20+ years old (so can't complain) and bought this to replace the existing unit. Over the years this connector size has shrunk so this wasn't large enough for my needs. On the plus side, no problems at all with refund/returns so it's just one of those things. Do be aware of the size when ordering though.
