Gator Largo Series Student Case for Alto Saxophone

Bought this for our 10-year-old son to replace the nearly 40-year-old case for the sax he had inherited. Compared to the typical hard case that school instruments seem to come with, this has everything. It's much more lightweight, yet offers the same protection as a hard case as best as I can tell. It has a rigid shell inside the fabric exterior, and the softness of the outside seems like it will make bumping incidents more forgiving. I must have dented so many walls with my hard case when I was a kid.It still has the typical interior corner compartment for accessories like reeds, cleaning stuff, etc., but it also has an exterior pocket for flat items (such as sheet music, if you fold it. Sadly, not big enough for full sized book though).The killer feature(s) is the shoulder strap and back pack straps. If your kid is going to school, they are going to carry this thing along with other stuff. These options mean this case can be carried hands-free, which allows them to handle other stuff as needed.Another thing I wish it had, is a name tag holder pouch. There wasn't really a great place to tag it, I ended up making something that I could zip tie to one of the handles but would prefer something more low profile.The price was fair. I am cheap when it comes to cases, and was initially hoping to find something for $40-$50. But after buying this a bit begrudgingly, I have to admit this thing is worth the money, no question.In all, I'd give this thing 4.5 stars, but I rounded up for the Amazon review scale, which only handles integers. If there is a better soft case option for alto saxophone out there, I couldn't find it.

The case fit the flute well without any issues. The outer pocket is big enough to hold some cleaning supplies. This is so much nicer than some of the cheap cases that are so small, minimal size.

I bought this for my 7 year old who likes to bang whatever he is carrying into everything around him (or even things that are not around him). This case is light enough for him to handle easily and also bounces off whatever he hits it against. Also has enough space to carry those whatever oil, cloths etc.

This case fits a trombone with a section for the slide piece. It has extra storage and is very lightweight. The price is competitive with other soft cases.

Case is exactly as advertised. looks amazing and the fact that it is a backpack style is awesome. Also affordable which is a major bonus!

We got this case to replace the case for my husband's Bundy alto sax so my daughter could use it for school. The sax fit perfectly and the case is very light weight. My daughter likes it too. The pocket is great for music books.

The media could not be loaded. Lightweight but doesn’t look cheap. Our original trumpet case was so old looking so this was perfect.

I had an old Olds and Son trombone with a case that was falling apart. This new case was a perfect fit.
