Marcy Classic 1" Cast Iron Standard Grip Plates - 2.5lb

These fit the 1” weight bar on my Total Gym perfectly and also the Marcy weight tree I bought to put them on. They look sharp too.

The grip plates are made of cast iron, as described. They are not fancy, but they do the job. I would recommend them for at-home use for basic purposes. Probably not something a dedicated body builder would want, but a-okay for someone getting started and wanting affordable weights. I got two of the 5 lb and two of the 10 lb to get started and will add to that as needed. (I am a 60+ grandma, so this is a good start for me.) Make sure to pay attention to the fact that these have a 1" diameter hole which may not work with some bars, attachments, etc.

Excellent quality. Def nicer that academys .Son likes the round smoothed out edges too. Makes a comfortable grip....allows them to be used separately

i got this to weigh my cats food bowl down because she kept knocking it over. she was able to knock it over with the weight so i had to heavy duty strap it down and then she wasn’t able to knock it over.5/5 weight if you’re looking to get your cat into body building

I needed some weights for my daughters science project. These did the job. I can't comment on the accuracy of the weight or how well they fit for their intended use. The casting seems adequate though not of the highest standard. They survived several drops onto concrete while setting up the science project.

They are, in fact, 2 1/2 pounds. Respond to gravity smoothly. Would buy again.
