This abacus is well made and easy to use, it feels quite robust. It's a very manageable size for my 6 year old to take out and also pack away. It comes with number cards and counting sticks. It's really helped to encourage an interest and understanding of maths and number patterns and is a lovely tool for learning and playing.i have seen some which are cheaper/more expensive, but this one was just right for us because it had the extra cards and counting sticks.

The media could not be loaded.  Great for children who need to use things to learn or see things before they eyes, ie kinaesthetic or visual learners. Ideal for children who need a bit of extra help at home with their maths.Happy to recommend. If I were still a teacher these might be in a great big Maths box of resources to help children get to grips with numbers etc. I always thought I wasn't good at Maths until I went to University at 40 and then I discovered that in comparison to the other students on my teaching course, I was a genius at Maths. If I missed a lecture, which didn't happen very often our Maths tutor would cry because I was the only one who ever answered her questions!Try not to project any dislike you have of Maths and Numbers on your children, you might learn a lot by helping them with their Maths homework!

Wer eine kurze Einführung sucht sollte nach den Videos des Deutschen Museums München zu diesem Thema suchen, in denen Heinz Molter in 10 Minuten eine hervorragende Einführung gibt.Zum Produkt:Ordentliche Qualität in Holz zum Preis von knapp 20 Euro. Das skandinavische Möbelhaus bietet ein vergleichbares Muster an. Im Unterschied zu diesem gibt es aber keine Rechenleiste mit den Aufgaben - was gerade für Schüler der unteren Klassen sinnvoll ist - und auch keine Rechenstäbchen.Insgesamt würde ich deshalb diesem Produkt den Vorzug geben.

My older homeschooled kids use abacuses from RightStart Math to do math and my toddler always wanted to join in. I got her this one because I like that it can stand up on its own but it isn't too big to lay it on her lap either. The abacus is sturdy and nicely made, with no rough spots. The little tray at the top works well with the numeral cards but we don't use those yet. The counting sticks made a mess on the floor with the cards and are put away for the time being. But they also seem well made.
