Overall a good laptop
I had this laptop for over 2 months and so far it's been a good laptop. I had no issues except the keyboard keys jumps to another line when I am typing an email. It's doesn't happens all the time but I don't know what can trigger the jumping keys. Other than that, it's a good laptop. There are some updates for Windows 10 that needs to be process and this will cause the system slowing down. Once all updates are done, it runs smoothly. The speakers are not the best but I didn't buy this laptop for speakers. I just connect the laptop to a wireless speaker and it's good to go. It's too bad I can't use my previous version of Microsoft Word/Excel software with Windows 10. I just use Google office to do all my Word documents and Spread sheets. The 17" Screen is very nice. Happy with this laptop so far.

Laptop doesn't recognize the cd/DVD
I have been working with tech support because my laptop doesn't recognize the cd/DVD rom. I specifically ordered a laptop with internal cd/dvd rom so this is important to me. I plan on using it as my TV when I camp in RV with no electricity available.I have called tech support and spent over 3 hrs on issue with no resolution. First call was changing DWord in registry and computer took hours to boot back up. Tech support and I were on phone for over 1 1/2 hrs. Most of the time was me holding down power button to have ability to power back up. Never powered back up, so did a restore & again never booted back up. So most of this phone call was watching the Lenovo circle think. He said he would call back in an hour later and still pc was thinking, when he called. Gave me option to send pc in and have fixed. You have to understand I transferred all my personal life is on here, pictures, taxes, music, budget, business files, Microsoft Office, etc. Being without my pc would be huge disadvantage. One possible solution was a full refund and $50 to go towards new purchase and being without a computer while all this happens and then me reloading all my personal files (that took hours of work). This did not seem like much of an offer for all my time invested in new pc.He gave me a different phone number to call for assistance (he was difficult to understand with his broken English but very cordial at all times). I left the computer think overnite and hopefully morning time it would be available. In morning it was powered off and I booted up and I was able to get on pc, but no recognizing my cd/DVD rom. I took to work and called new phone number given to me prior evening, during lunch and the change he had me make took a long time to boot up and again Lenovo logo and circle going round and round. I did not bring my battery charger with me and was concerned laptop battery would not last as pc thinking. So I drove home and connected it to charger and left it think. I had business meeting after work and needed laptop! I called other individual I was meeting with to bring her laptop so we had ability to work.Today I will do a back up of my files and tomorrow I will call tech support again with a fully charged cell phone and hands free! I'm concerned this is a defective laptop as it should not take overnite to accept changes made to it. Next step is to restore to factory reset!!! I'm not happy with these hoops I have to jump through and the time it is taking me to make my laptop useful. I truly feel it is a defective laptop and I'm concerned about it's operations for now and future. I do want the ability to get a new laptop and feel I should get a larger discount then $50 (10% discount from my original cost is not much). I would like the ability to keep this laptop until I get a different one set back up with my current files from this laptop. As you can see I am able to use this one to write this report.Thank you for your consideration & sorry such a long review! This has been my experience.

Totally fine computer
I like this computer but I don’t love it. It’s definitely big, and a nice value for the size and capability. The mouse is difficult to control and I find myself clicking when I don’t want to, or erasing text I don’t mean to erase, due to the mouse.

No good for multitasking
The description says "Run multiple programs simultaneously" That's not true. If I have more than 1 internet explorer window open at a time it errors out. Says internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to restart. That is not a good thing. It does seem to run fine other than it can not multitask with internet explorer and is a little slow. I also think this was a upgraded computer. When I did the first cleanup on the computer it said if you continue it would delete previous windows files. Will find a better one and pass this on to a family member that just looks at facebook.

be patient
The final update took 5++ hours -- probably the d: and c: drives (on the same piece of "rotating rust" ) were out of step.Otherwise, a good non-SSD laptop

Packing was not suitable!
I haven't opened my new Lenova computer box yet to see if product is good but the box was in another box, loosely. No packing around the inner box and there was several inches of space. As stated before, I have not opened inner box that holds the computer. I am not quite ready to set it up. Hope all is well!

Excellent price/function value.
For a $00 17" laptop, I could not be happier. Not the fastest PC, but I ain't the fastest PC user, so...Very happy.
