Fits perfectly and works great!
My laptop battery stopped charging and was losing power, despite the laptop being plugged in. I searched what to do online and did a power reset*. The battery started charging again but stopped at 99% and soon started dropping again.*Be aware there's residual power inside the laptop when unplugged and the battery is out, if performing a power reset yourself. If you are in any doubt, ask advice from an expert or pop into your local tech store, especially if you need to remove screws to do it.I searched for a replacement battery and decided to buy this one from reading previous reviews and because it has a higher capacity than my original one, which means I can use the laptop on battery power for a little longer.Note: I found it much easier to find the right battery by searching online using the code I found on the battery itself and not the battery code in System Info, as advice online suggested. The battery arrived in a white box inside Amazon packaging, sufficiently protected by bubble wrap. It fits like a glove (although it took a little more gentle force than I'd anticipated to pop the old battery out and place the new one in) and started working straight away. It was already charged to 88% so I could have used it from the box, but I fully charged it before using it. It's holding charge and working just fine now, a few months on from when I installed it.I'm happy with my purchase and it works great, just like my original battery did from new.

Battery holds its charge
Installation was easy. I followed the instruction manual which said to complete 5 discharge / charge cycles for the battery to hold a full charge (although there was a separate piece of paper that said to do 2 discharge / charge cycles). The battery is a similar spec (2600 mAh compared to 2670 mAh) to the HP original so I would expect it to last about 4 hours in my laptop.I have a problem in that the battery test feature in the HP Support Assistant app installed in my laptop no longer works - I guess it is because the HP software does not recognise a non-HP battery. Also, the Windows battery icon does not seem to accurately show how much charge is left. It has said 6.75 hours remaining when 100% charged - which is clearly wrong. It is now saying 1.5 hours charge left at 20% charge. Again, I am guessing this is the in-built battery calibration. To re-calibrate the battery, I have seen on the HP website you should completely discharge the battery and then charge it - but the NinjaBatt instruction manual advises not to do this as this shortens the battery life.I would have given a 5* review if the laptop battery monitor was working and I could get a good Idea about how long the battery held its charge.HP have discontinued their original battery so the NinjaBatt Pro is a good alternative. If it works for the specified 1000 charge lifetime that would be great - the HP original was only specified to last for 300 charges and it failed shortly afterwards.

Highly recommended. Just reordered, previous one worked well for 3 years.
I purchased one of these in November 2020 and am now ordering a new one, to replace it, in May 2024. Battery has been struggling for the last few months, but gave good performance for the preceding 3 years. My laptop is in regular use and probably discharged at least once most days. I doubt you'd find better performance elsewhere and would recommend you give this one a try.

Be warned NinjaBatt Pro will death star your battery to death like a ninja after a few months :-@
Originally when i got this battery i thought it was too good to be true as it was charging well and giving me more charge than i could ever imagine. I was over the moon. Then after about a month or so. for about 2 days i didn't charge my battery as i wasn't using my laptop during this period of time. Before i knew it i notice that once i accidentally disconnected my charger from the laptop (which was already connected for hours) it instantly turned off! After loads of checks by installing an up to date bios and uninstalling and re-installing the battery drivers in device manager I was still getting the HP error diagnostics shown in the attached picture. and zero % charge on the battery icon display even though charger is connectedI then had to buy another type of HP battery which worked to prove the issue was with the NinjaBatt pro battery. Shocking is an understatement here.Amazon were able to refund me with no further questions, even though it was way after the allowed return date. To the point that Amazon maybe already aware of this type of issue who knows. was glad to get my money back. But also be aware that as it is a battery i had to use a courier service (refund included courier cost) and you have to do this quick as the time they need to receive the item is usually in only a few days once you receive the return labels.I really hope i just got a dodgy battery, but i have a bad feeling it wasn't, hence buyers beware after a few weeks/months.
