Tian Hu ShanMatcha Green Tea Powder 3.5oz/100g, Pure Matcha Powder Culinary Grade Unsweetened for Lattes, Cooking, Baking, Vegan 100% Natural

I don't know why I thought I could buy this and make a mask/scrub that I can put in a jar and use when I need to. Even with preservative, it turned brown. The powder itself is green. I've purchased this before and made green tea with it, so it tastes great. It does have some gritty texture as it doesn't dissolve completely. You can get around that by using tea bags, I think. It works well in smoothies and shakes. There's no sugar, so if you like that you will have to add it. I would say that it's easy to figure out how to make it. It's a decent value for the money.

Tastes like the matcha Im used to. I use an immersion blender the whisk the powder in the hot water. First time buying the powder itself, im looking forward to more yummy drinks. I like to add milk, creamer, and some mocha flavor.

Tastes very nice. I like that it comes unsweetened and I can adjust it to my taste.

This is one of the less expensive matcha powders and it's better than many that are more expensive ... but not as good as super-premium ones. The color of a nice verdant green — I've seen some that are way more olive/brown and some that are a bit more green... again, good but not great. This is a recurring theme of the review — but again, it's under $2/oz. The flavor has a slightly bitter taste (and a tiny bit "fishy" as it should be), but missing some of the top notes (grassy, herby, fresh) that other nice ones can have. All in all, a good bargain, especially for baking or blending.

Wonderful Even though it's not ceremonial it is still great for daily consumption. I've made this with lime and it is perfect also.

Unfortunately, this matcha is terrible. I've tried many different matchas from other companies and this is the worst one I've tried. The color is bland and lacks vibrance. The taste is bitter and almost seaweed-like. This product is a major disappointment, but fairly unsurprising for the price.

Great product, tastes wonderful. I just wish there were more in the pouches.
