Love this Steel....
I had never used a pizza steel but really wanted one as I have had a stone and it broke. I purchased this one and love it. I made awesome pizza with it. Takes a bit of getting use to using it, I purchased a pizza peel to use with it. It takes less than 10 minutes to cook the pizza; you have to keep an eye on it and turn mid-way. I did find using parchment easier to use on the steel than cornmeal and I removed it midway when I turned the pizza. I am going to try baking sourdough on it. The steel is heavier than I expected, no cleaning if you follow instruction and clean and heat it in the oven before use. I love the holes in the front to help with ease of moving it, size is perfect for my oven.

Great!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Love this. My sister has one of the original pizza stones and paid quite a bit for it. This one works and is easy to clean and season. Haven't done pizza yet, but it makes awesome bagels.

Love it
Makes the crust come out perfectly! Love it! I have used pizza stones and quarry tiles before, but this steel blows them away for a great crisp undercarriage.

Wanted to make pizza from scratch, not ON scratches
Ordered this steel as it was in the mid price range, not as much as name brand and more than the lesser quality ones. Once I received it, I’m now wishing I would have spent the money on a Baking Steel brand. This arrive in a single, thin cardboard box, every corner bashed in, excessive amounts of tape used to bandage the package rather than placing it in a new box. From delivery it seemed very clear that the edges of my steel were damaged in transit but I did not expect to see multiple scratches across the baking surface as those were there before getting placed in the box. Nowhere in the listing did it say I would receive a subpar product that looks nowhere near the quality as shown in the photos on this listing. Incredibly disappointed at the quality of this steel sheet that arrived damaged and rusted before I could even put it in my oven. I recommend looking at other brands over this.

It's a big chunk of metal!
This is the largest and *thickest* steel I could find on Amazon or anywhere. It's heavy. It's big. It's... Perfect. You can use it on the grill too, just need to preheat it a lot.I got this because of its massive size, and that's it. Would I get any other one? Nope. Get this one.

Nice, SUPER HEAVY, Think this will get used a lot.
Wanted a pizza stone, have tried ceramic ones and had them crack on me, even after following instructions to the letter. Had read that metal stones conduct heat better and stay hotter after each pizza cook. We often need to make several pizzas when we do Pizza night. So it was important, that the surface stay hot. Chose this one based on thicker size, to retain heat better. It' takes longer to get up to temp. But did find that it stayed hotter in between pizzas. Fit perfectly in my oven but be aware, this is one heavy slab of metal. The holes help to lift it and could help in storing (hang on a wall). Though not something you can keep outside as it's carbon steel and will rust if not stored and cared for properly. My only wish is that there was an indent along the top side of the perimeter of the slab, so it could catch any liquid that dripped from the pizza or food, so as to not drip over the edge and create smoke from a hot oven. We're not pros at pizza making, so we've had a few mishaps or too much sauce. Other that that, I like it and have no fears of it cracking. Now it may crack my tile floor if I drop it or my toes, so be ready to handle this beast when you want to grab it. It's one heavy...
