Outstanding compact stereo and cd player
I was amazed at how well made this unit and speakers were. Very sturdy and solid with a very clean look with a good amount of weight to all of them. I was surprised how solid all these were as soon as I pulled them out of the box. The cabinets for both the stereo unit and speakers look like finished wood at first glance. Picking one up and the weight and sturdiness was very apparent. CD's sound clear and loud with no distortion, like a much more expensive set up, especially for the price. I listen to old time radio cd's that other units, have all played with muffled and not crisp sound. I have had 2 different ones previously and these speakers play voices and narration with no distortion, hissing or muffled sounds like my two previous micro component systems at the same price point. The graphic equalizer gives a nice assortment of sounds for whatever you decide is the best for your ear. I found that the classic setting sounded better than the rock setting for 80's rock and roll cds I tried. Personal preference instead of the actual name for each different sound. The LCD display is nice and large with easy to read letters and functions. These speakers are actually rated at 150W and the unit puts out 100W max. The only thing that was a little hard to get used to was the non lit buttons. At night it was hard at first to find the right button, but with a little practice I could easy find the right one (there are only 6). I would buy a couple more as Christmas presents in a second. 4.9 Stars out of five. It deserved more than 4.5 stars because of only the non lit buttons I felt.

Full, Rich Sound, and it's Cheap to Boot
I purchased this stereo for my mom, whose last stereo system died. I didn't want to get one that sounded tinny and had low volume...and I came across this one and reviews and even sound samples indicated this stereo isn't like that at all. She is quite impressed with this stereo system and is satisfied with the features and sound quality. The first one I got had a defective right channel that only works intermittently, so it got returned and I got a replacement that works perfectly. Indeed, the sound quality is full and rich like those sound samples and other reviews said. I use a Fosi Audio V3 amplifier, Fosi Audio Q4 DAC and Neumi BS5 speakers for my everyday audio system, and I can say without a doubt, The Lonpoo LP-609 doesn't come anywhere near close in terms of sound quality. There is a lot of bass, and it definitely makes the system sound big, but the sound isn't overly detailed and the bass is quite boomy as well. The stereo can get loud as well, so this stereo can be considered the antithesis of the common shelf stereo systems that lack bass and have low volume output. And that's a good thing. Plus, the speakers this stereo comes with are actually two-way speakers instead of a full-range driver with a fake tweeter. The proprietary speaker wires have standard speaker connections at the speakers...so the speakers can be replaced with any other model like the Dayton Audio B652-AIR, Micca MB42x G2 or Neumi BS5 without any issue if you want better sound quality. The main issues is some of the EQ presets don't sound that good, especially the jazz preset, which you don't want to use unless you are a masochist and enjoy being assaulted by harsh treble. The Rock preset makes the stereo sound boomy and zaps some of the treble that is there. No real complaints about the other presets, but I find the default flat preset to sound the best. I would prefer that they add a custom EQ preset that includes bass and treble controls.Overall, this stereo is decent for what you're getting. Just don't expect a ton of detail and you'll be happy with this stereo system. I would recommend it if you really want a stereo system that can do most of what you need all in one unit.

Great Sound, Great Price and durable.
This is an awesome stereo for the price. I bought mine over a year ago and left it outside on my back porch and we have enjoyed quality sound hundreds of times. It's durable as it has been in extreme temperatures. The bass/treble adjustments give you high fidelity sound no matter what source. I'd buy it again but mine is working fine.

Find something else - you get what you pay for.
In retrospect, I should have found something else.On the positive, it looks nice and is simple to operate. The Bluetooth works decently -- though the reception is sometimes spotty. The CD player worked.I bought this to listen to the radio. The receiver is worthless. I've tried multiple antennae and it still can't get anything with clarity. My battery powered, hand held, mini-radio pulls in more stations even without an antenna. My 40 year-old clock radio does better as well. There's also no AM.The sound is bad. At low volume, <10, bass consumes all. The equalizer settings are weird, don't make sense, and don't do much. >10 on "flat" it doesn't sound bad. The other options suck.Another, simple, missing feature is a sleep function.I haven't tried a lot of the other input functionality - USB, line-in, etc. They might work, but they're not something I use.Looking around, there are other options near the same price point, I'll likely look at getting something new when I have free cash.

Only four stars because of a couple of small frustrations
I am very happy with this radio. It is similar to a radio that I had used for many years, but it wasn't working well anymore. The on/off button on the front of the radio is small and hard to find in the dark and the remote has a rounded bottom so it occasionally slips off my nightstand when I am groping for it when I wake up. Those are my only complaints. Otherwise, it is an excellent radio, and it was easy to set up.
