Unuseable unless you have a floppy disk in your PC -- perhaps that is implied by the 3.1 compatability, but I've been through all those old versions of windows, but that didn't pop out of me at the time. Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews before I ordered so I didn't know you had to have a floppy. I would have given it 0 stars but that isn't an option.

Thank you very much for sending Accounting program namely Kiplingers CA Simply money in 3.5 inch flopy. In modern computers and lap no flopy drive provided so, I bought a floppy drive.When I tried to install, the setup file failed to install the program on windows xp. So, What to do?

This is a good financial tracking program. The only drawback is that this is version 1, 16bit. I am using version 2.5, and I love that this program can track all the transactions I need to.

Sent it back. Somehow it wasn't clear to me that this was on a floppy disc instead of a cd. Too bad. I was really wanting to try it out.

I used this program back in the days when I was a Windowz user. This program really never made it big and was pretty much hidden in the shadow of money backed advertised quicken.I run Linux now and have not found anything EVER that was as easy to use. If you run the Windows OS and want something that is VERY user friendly and easy to back up this program is for you. The user interface is very easy to navigate with the ability to drag and drop funds from accountsI just wish that they would have kept releasing new updates. If I ever see this for Linux OS I will buy it. For now I'll stick to my spread sheet method of accounting.
