The wells for the batter are very shallow. I bought it to make aebleskivers. It worked okay, but they weren't as big as I would like, so they were pretty flat little pancakes. They did cook, and tasted good.But, it wouldn't be good to let a child operate it because the cooking surface gets extremely hot, and even the reflective heat burned my fingers, without even touching the surface. Just use common sense, and caution.

I ordered this sandwich maker twice. Both the initial purchase and the replacement had the same defect, the latch didn't close! When the initial sandwich maker didn't close, I thought I had bad luck and it was a 1 in 1000 defect, but upon receiving the replacement and having the same defect, I guess I was wrong. Best to add a few more bucks and buy a quality sandwich maker. Don't buy!

Very durable, fast cooking speed, easy to use and clean, works very well.

Love the large size sandwich maker, but the only down side is the closing part doesn't snap well. It slides while closing and I am afraid that it might eventually break.

This is so easy to use and clean. Full size breakfast sandwiches are awesome. Just add you spices and flavors and your ready to go. I do a six at a time (12 eggs). Freeze them and use when you need.It makes a fast easy lunch in less than 10 minutes.
