Gretsch G2420T Streamliner Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Bigsby - Midnight Sapphire

I am a Gibson snob, I have allowed myself some fender custom shops. That said the guitar market is a strange economy. Budget guitars span the spectrum, (sadly upper echelon instruments do too) I have owned more than I can count, some I miss others not.But we must talk about this Gretsch . I purchased 2 1 with and one without tremolo.Both came from Indonesia and played perfect from the box. What? Yes intonation , tuning stability, reasonable grover like heads, b’tron pickups beautiful! I can go on, it sounds like a 175 , but better than the custom shop I owned. How? The light springy, ease at fretting notes, allows it to play itself. Perfect fret height, neck comfy and straight, I played it loud, quiet in between, and acoustic. For jazz I like the closer frets, easier stretch. I got this cause I wanted a John Lee hooker sound, which is deceptively tricky - growl to amp, but the hollow body acoustic has to be equally present in the mix. It’s an old time sound. You can’t get on a solid body.Then the price !!! I haven’t paid less than 2grand for a guitar that I kept(fender and Gibson are the wirst QC ever) in years, this one I could buy 3 of and be satisfied! Never thought I’d buy a guitar on amazon. Pretty soon ai will get my algorithm and polymorph an instrument into my hands virtually. I wonder if 50 years of daily practice will matter then.To the big brothers at the warehouse, the trucks , and whatever other cave that stores and supplies the stuff that we must buy, thanks

No complaints at all. Sound and quality are great!

I bought this guitar for a guitar player and singer at our church and he loved it. It's beautiful and it plays great.
