Great system, but it's an extremely complex install
I love this system so much I'm installing my 4th Vista alarm system, this time in my newly remodeled home. There is a steep learning curve to program the system, but it's a time tested, bulletproof and extremely reliable system once it's up and running. The physical installation process is relatively easy. The downside is a very time consuming and often aggravating programming process that's anything but user friendly because I insist on using the old alpha numeric panels. First time DIYer's can count on spending hours at the panel with the manual in hand to program the features. The process and the manual were not designed and produced end users, but there are forums on the internet with an army of users who are a great source of help. Five stars for the seller who was quick to reply to a question I had.

Excellent Alarm but 5 hours programming
This is a great alarm and I was able to get it programmed after 5 intense hours of reading and searching online. The negative is you have to be a licensed and registered installer with Honeywell in order to get tech support. There are easier alarms to install so unless your a patient, programmer back away and say thanks for the heads up.
