The Definitive Surf Film
The reason I travelled round the world surfing was this one film. Upgraded format to blueray is an improvement whilst still retaining that old tape feel. If you surf or interested in surfing and haven't watched this film/documentary then you're missing out. Give it a go and I bet you will want to pack in the job, book a flight and travel... surfboard under arm. :)

Reviewing the Second Sight box set
This is a beautiful package, Second Sight do this sort of thing so well. The matt feel hard case feels luxurious and the colours of the classic design are sharp & vibrant. If you want this film on blu-ray, this is the one to get.

Surf Movie
The original surfers in search of great wave movie. Although slightly more like a documentary much of the time. The commentary is funny and the surfing footage great, especially given this was filmed in the early 60's. Finally although not directly connected with these comments. There is or at least was an endless summer beach bar in Santa Barbara near the marina and worth a visit if your in that area. It has some memorabilia from the film. I used the upstairs bar rather than the proper restaurant which seemed more fitting with the theme of the place

Dated but brilliant
If you're in to surfing then you've got to be able to say that you've seen this. It's probably THE classic surf documentary, following two guys on their global search for the perfect wave. Made in the sixties, the fact that it is so dated (in the narration, set-piece scenes and also what constitutes a perfect wave) makes it even more enjoyable. If Alan Wicker had made a surf travel documentary....

Classic Flim!
Charts the surf booming and lifestyle in the late 60's/70's.One for the purists, not sure modern day society would appreciate it but worth a viewing if you have any passion for this activity and culture!
