Worth the money
Got mine in yesterday. Took a chance on it with all the retention issues in the back of my mind. The retention on mine is just about where I'd want it. Matter of fact I'd like it to be even more snug. Mine will not come out unwanted even when running with my outer carrier on. I've read the complaints about it not being sharpened on both sides. This is an implement meant for sticking, not cutting. And as the only thing I would use this for is the "last effort" tool? It will do exactly that. Both edges being "sharpened" would not add too, nor does it take away from, what this tool is intended for. Like someone trying to get my duty weapon and I need to dissuade them from their course of action. It's so low profile on my outer carrier that unless you're looking for it? Most won't know it's there. I bought this over the "name brand" because the price on that one made my eyes water. A few other cops on my department have the "name brand" item, and no, this is not the same quality. But is it worth the 20 something is spent? Yes. Will it do the "sticky" it needs to do? Yes. This is not an "open boxes" or "bushcraft" knife. This a very mission specific knife that is meant to do one thing. Glad I bought it. Oh. 18 years as a street cop and still active. 12 years active duty military prior to that. The Benchmade one is NOT worth the C-note they want for it. This is worth the 20 something they ask.

Great value, very good quality… does the job!
The media could not be loaded. I have not owned or handled the authentic Benchmade SOCP dagger so I don’t have a complete reference comparison to make. However, the quality of this clone is exceptionally good especially considering the $20 price tag I paid for it from Amazon prime with free shipping. Is the Benchmade SOCP worth an additional $100? If I could afford it, the extra hundred dollars would have been worth it to support an American made product and an American design that is being knocked off unfortunately and I’m guilty of supporting that. But I am not a special forces operator or LEO, just a middle-age guy with a dad bod who wants one extra layer of self defense protection in addition to my EDC pistol.I’ve seen a few complaints of retention in the sheath, mine has no problem at all. The retention is tight and gives a positive click and felt resistance when the blade is inserted or withdrawn from the sheath. Perhaps there are some quality control variations and if you receive one with poor retention, I think you can fix it by putting a heat gun or hair blower at the middle point of the sheath and pressing in so that it tightens against the blade. See my video on that. Overall, it is an incredibly well thought out design and this clone seems to match the quality of the original other than a different finish. When clipped inside the waistband in an angle, it is fairly comfortable to sit with it in place. However, the loop Tang of the knife does cut into my gut a little because I have a little extra around the waist. Bench made makes a square leather pad that should fit and cost $10 on their website which I will probably get. For the price you can’t go wrong..

A solid B overall knife and sheath
At first I wasn't sure because the sheath seemed like it was cheap but at second investigation it seems to be nice hard Kydex. The knife is generally very good. My only complaint is with the sheath retention. You can turn the knife upside down in the sheath and it will hold you can give it a slight little jiggle and it will hold but if you do a medium thrust the knife may come out. If you're wondering how secure it is in the sheath. I think for an everyday carry it would be perfect. Also the sheath sits comfortably in your front pockets if you're the type of person that wears them in the front whenever you sit down you don't really notice the sheath is there. Which I like

Awesome budget copy
I’ve owned a genuine benchmade that this knife rips off and honestly for the money its a great buy. Ive bought 2 so far, handle/body edges are smooth, no knicks or sharp edges on the grip. The blade is not razor sharp but sharp enough, personally I dont think the POU of this knife is to cut more to stab but you can sharpen razor sharp if you prefer. I plan to buy more in the future.

Knife won't release from sheath one handed.
Requires 2 hands to remove from sheath. The knife fits entirely too tight, and the sheath is unable to stay attached to anything. Belt, pocket, waist band, it doesn't matter. You go to pull the knife and it won't release, the sheath and knife won't separate...A better clip is needed, it simply has no holding power to keep the sheath secured to your person...

Great emergency knife
I ordered this to attach to a vest and have available for emergency use. It works great and appears to be of good quality.

Sharp and worth it
I really wanted this because of the man himself (sheriff of Baghdad) honestly I was afraid that it would’ve been very cheap but the knife itself is very sharp. I do have to say that the sheath is the only thing that seems cheap and easily to brake. Another thing the knife holds on good to the sheath it does not fall !

sheath makes it not great, blade is good
Knife is good, could be better steel, but no complaints with the blade. However, big point is the screws on the sheath clip stripped out easy, the sheath does not hold the blade with any amount of retention, wiggling it slightly the blade will fall out. Working on finding a workable fix to the retention issue.
