I was lucky to get this tripod on a lightning sale, but even without that it would have been great value for money. I have many large professional tripods for my photography studio work but I had nothing to use when I go out for a walk with and need the security of a solid full height tripod.This tripod is light and small - easy to carry around when out for a walk. The Ball and sock is smooth and locks quickly and easily to control the camera. The ball and socket can be easily removed and a replacement pan and tilt head put on for particular shots. For out and about use the tripod is light and compact and fit in light easy carry case. When fully extended it is sturdy enough to hold a big camera and lens and the ball and socket does not slip.I like the tripod enough that when I am in the studio I have been also using this tripod as it is quick to set up and is sturdy enough of hold an DSLR with battery extender pack.

I bought this to my little brother for his 21birthday present.He is a New photographer,starting his job for just 2 months.He told me he is absolutely love this tripods,because it’s unbelievable value for money and almost full height.He got a 200pound tripod before,but this tripod is obviously almost the same thing,so for the money this tripod is absolutely bargain.Everything works,has quick release plate,3 way head,it’s totally a real tripod not a flimsy toy.the most attractive is it’s really light weight,so handy for him to take it everywhere too.

Appears really well made with an excellent ball head which gives a smooth pan and tilt. Once the ball head is tightened the camera is rock solid .Panorama function is excellent as is the quick release plate. Extends to 65 inches and even then the camera feels extremely secure. Legs can be adjusted to various angles and for those into macro photography the centre pole will invert. Finally there's a good quality carry bag with an adjustable strap. This appears to be of the highest quality and would highly recommend.

Very stable when used with long focal length lenses. I bought this tripod for astrophotography and it has lived upto expectations. Angle of the head is easy and fast to change and it is stable. Also a good height for comfortable use. Folds up small for easy carrying in the case supplied

Feels good quality and strong. It's been used for holding a dslr for photo shoots. The legs are flexibly extendable and manoeverable. Has a nice case to put it in too.

Lightweight, sturdy and easy to set up. This tripod is perfect for travelling and the quality is great. I particularly like the quick and simple control of the ball head.

I am no expert, but it appears to be of strong material, and very convenient to pack away. Really enjoy the swivel top - my first tripod and hopefully it lasts me until I turn grey (very soon).

Nothing to dislike at this price! Gives manfrotto a run for its money without the ridiculous expense!!Thourghly recommend.
