Perfect brooder for starters.
This is a great starter brooder. It was easy to assemble. The description states you can hold up to 5-10 chicks, I would not recommend. I started with 3 chicks and that seemed perfect. I did have to transfer them to a bigger brooder by 6 weeks old.

Small and poorly built
The light socket was broken and the bulb had been smashed and unusable. I had to purchase new lighting equipment and heat lamp in order for the baby quail to stay warm. Skip this product and purchase something better quality

Too hot.
It’s easy to set up. However, The temperature from the lamp that comes with the kit was too hot for the brooder. I lost a chick. When you put the water and feeder inside, you should not use more than three chicks. I will probably use them for nesting boxes without the lamp.

Great brooder box fits 10 chicks perfectly for the first 2 weeks of life.

Terrible quality
The heating lamp was broken when arrived. The wood boards are very fragile, got broken easily when drill the screws in.

Works ok
Works ok but the boards were slightly warped in places otherwise handy unit for raising quail chicks. To small for more then a few chicken chicks.

Cute
This works great for my button quail. But word of advise. Use a cardboard hut under the light, it gets super hot without it (over 120F) so make sure to add a thermometer. But with a slight modification adding a hut to regulate the heat, it works perfectly. Came together well with a regular screwdriver (not the one in the box). Fits well on a shelf, and it's cat proof. You can easily add a strap and lock if needed.Overall, value for what you get... it's not bad honestly. My chicks love it. Would not recommend for chickens or anything bigger than quail.

Love it but is very small even for about 6 baby quail.
I love the little brooder and is easy to assemble. But it’s small.. even for baby quail . So I put it inside a tote and put pine shavings for the floor and took off the see thru panel and it works fantastic for as many babies as 20 or more now.. I highly recommend this brooder box!
