Excellent little addition to the kitchen
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to buy the hotel chocolat veletiser but this seemed like a cheaper option. I particularly like steamed milk with coffee syrup and bought this to make these. I hear the milk in this and then add flavoured syrup to the cup. I have added hot chocolate powder to the machine although I’m not sure you are supposed to do this. I just add it as it is going round to the top rather than it being added before the milk. The product is easy to use and I makes a good foam to the milk even when using skimmed milk. One problem it does have is the pouring of the milk as it has no spout but it generally works fine. Cleaning is easy but obviously can’t immersed in water.I’ve had this while now and it is really good for curbing my craving for coffee shop milky drinks so has been a money saver in the longer term.

This milk frother works surprising well
I don't know how the frother works so well in such a short period of time to get even skimmed milk into such a frothed state. It takes less than a minute and works by means of a little plastic magnetic rotator in the bottom of the jug area (which is only half the depth of the outside appearance of the frother to allow for the motor in the bottom of the jug) and is lined with satin metal so that it is easy to clean. It makes a quiet hum when it is working and has frothed milk by the time I've got the expresso or filter ready - in fact often before ! You can make enough for a latte and a cappucino or just about two lattes (pending size of cup) with the quantity it will froth by putting milk under a maximum line drawn inside. When heating, the outside of the jug doesn't get hot so it must be well insulated. Although the rotating disc frother comes out easily for washing, the aluminium lining does not detach from the jug so can't be put into a dishwasher or immersed which is a draw back I think. I feel I have to be careful with it when cleaning it and rinse it immediately after use. The rotating disc thing rinses easily in washing up water and the push on, transparent lid is a snug fit without being too tight and that cleans OK. I had problems with the deliverers DPD but not with the product. The choice for me was a jug frother or a steam frother. The jury is out. Steam frothers require cleaning too in domestic model coffee machines and the advantage with this is that the milk is frothing whilst the expresso is being made, reducing the standing- and- holding- the- jug time after making the expresso for a steam machine. Of course it is great for hot chocolates or hot milk drinks.

Fabulous!
Bought as a replacement OK, this is more expensive than the cheaper ones. Previously had a Salter but it gave up after 6 weeks. This Dualit is far better quality. The attachments are magnetic - brilliant. And much larger- no chance of losing them. Haven’t tried to make chocolate yet, but the coffee is brilliant . Don’t waste money on cheaper ones, save up and buy a Dualit!

Love it
I wanted something simple but efficient and this ticks those boxes. I don’t have the space for a fancy coffee machine nor did I want to spend that type of money, with this I can have frothy milk by the time my kettle boils. It’s simple to clean and simple to use and has the basic milk measurements on the side of the frother.Would definitely recommend and glad I purchased over the velvatiser.

Great drinks - lots of flaws
Quick and easy hot chocolate maker - really simple to set up and use. It’s has a lot of functions (flat white, hot chocolate, mocha, milkshake) it has a few issues though -1) it’s really awkward to clean the hot chocolate basket (I use chocolate beads and they don’t melt properly and get all over the basket)2) it looks cheap and feels tacky - it’s wrapped in a plastic coating and you can really see the seam it’s a poor finish.3) it’s pretty big to hold when pouring - and it’s not particularly light.4) it doesn’t beep or make a sound when it’s finished - the light goes out but that’s it.5) if you make 1 drink then clean it, then make another it burns the milk really bad and it’s a pain to clean6) it’s materials and simplistic build and parts mean that it looks and feels cheap - but it’s not cheap - I would have paid thirty pounds for this, but for nearly sixty pounds it’s way overpriced.
