Be patient when connecting. Ties in to Google Home.
I really just purchased these to extend the range of the doorbell. It's hard to hear in some parts of the house. It works like a charm. It's also just kind of fun to ask Google random questions and play music in parts of the house that I otherwise wouldn't even have thought about. One connected easily. The other was a bit more frustrating. It lost connections several times before completing set up. They are a great size. I bought some wall mounts for them that plug into the wall, so the cords are neatly stored.

Always listening!
Invite AI into your home to listen to everything you are thinking out loud and every argument you have. Oh yeah and it is super good for playing music and automating my home. I actually have 3 of these government listening devices now. They listen to my kid play with legos in his room and my wife and I in bed relaxing in our room. Really handy for turning lights on and off.Honestly I couldn't live without it now. I say "Hey Google turn off the living room lights in 5 minutes" and then I walk upstairs to go to bed. I get up to the kitchen from the living toom to get food and say "Hey Google, pause the tv". Occasionally you'll tell it a command and it will put on some random music. You just tell it to stop and it's fine. It's a great white noise machine.

It automatically changed from Spanish to English once I finished setup
After reading all of the reviews about the product being in Spanish, I got very worried when my unit arrived and all of the writing on the outside of the box was in Spanish. But I plugged it in, it said something in Spanish, and then as instructed in the accompanying doc in English, I used Google Home on my iPhone to configure the device. All of the steps in Google Home on my iPhone were in English. And when I finished, my unit spoke English. I didn't have to specifically change the language configuration. Easy as pie!

New Best Friend that Listens
Ok, Mimi loves listending to Christmas music, usually starting in July. We have a google home and we needed to expand so i added this mini. For the most part it is like having a personal assistant, DJ, and trivia champion rolled into one tiny, sleek package. Now, I will say, Mimi has a harder time getting the desired results but I think that is more Mimi's special powers and this mini not having a Mimi. The sound quality is impressive, crisp vocals, rich bass, and enough volume to fill the room, whether Mimi's is jamming to Dolly and Kenny or asking it to play a true crime podcast. It would also connect to other smart home devices but that is more than Mimi wanted.Setup was a breeze, and the voice recognition is pretty good albeit Mimi's southern "Hey google hun", does delay the response. I will add, google does adjust far more rapidly than Mimi.It works and sounds great. It is Mimi approved.

Glad I bought
I have echo dots which work great. I wanted to get a Nest Mini since I have a Google nest doorbell. The Nest mini works as a perfect chime when someone is at the front door and clicks the doorbell. Connectivity to the google home app is easy to setup. Quality is great also

Scammers. English is not defaulted. Unable to...
Bought this while back. The language wa programmed to Other than English. We were able to change the language in settings but After we had a power outage, the darn thing reset itself and it's now completely unable to change its language back to English. We tried contacting Google support , resetting or multiple times, and trouble shooting all the possibilities To fix this issue. Nothing workedI recieved this Google nest mini that was originally made from a different country. Because I was able to bypass this the 1st time, I forgot this was ever a problem. After having my power outage, I contacted the seller and explained everything If I were to get a replacement and that we kept this speaker is the top excellent condition there is. The seller said My warranty was done and there was nothing they can do.How sweet. Now Im stuck a Google speaker that does not even speak my own countries language. The seller is confused about this and is unhelpful to their values customers.-‐-----------BEWARE BUYERS--------‐-----They had scammed me out of my money.

Great aide for visually impaired
Got this for my Mom who is in assisted living and is visually impaired. Works well for her to keep up to date by asking Google over using a laptop or tablet due to her poor eye sight.
